We didn't keep Gary Henderson after making the College World Series

So idk why people would be so surprised to see Moorhead gone after needing an extra point miss to beat a 4 win Ole Miss team.
78 teams make bowl games this season. Thats 60% of college football. It's not special to go 6-6, it's not a great season when we do.
In 1997 we went 7-4 and didn't make a bowl game.
All I'm saying is makes no sense for us to base any decision off of 1 game. We have to look at the full picture.

Henderson was an interim coach who did a great job finishing out that year.
I don’t recall Moorhead being elevated from an assistant coach to head coach during the season.
Not sure how that is relevant to this situation.
A number of our fans have made a decision to base his performance off one/two games. Specifically last year after KY/UF quite a few fans jumped off the cliff.
Thank You for making my point. We should not base a coaches future off one or two games.

I’m basing it off of many games. Not just games, but the fact that he was considered an offensive guru and we have looked absolutely lost on that side of the ball for the last two years.
Some of the games worth mentioning are:
Florida last year (didn’t score a touchdown here)
Kentucky kicking our arse last year
Not scoring a touchdown against LSU
Getting beat by an Iowa team we were far more talented than
Kansas State this year
Getting absolutely embarrassed at Auburn and A&M
frickING TENNESSEE(!!!!!!)
Looking lost against Alabama and LSU at home
And then, to top it all off, putting up 300 yards at home on a bad ole miss defense and getting saved by an idiot who took a piss in the end zone at the most critical time of the game, only to come into the press conference beating your chest like you had just knocked off a top ranked opponent.
For you to say people are basing their frustration off of UF and UK last year is downright laughable.

Yep and least we not forget ULL was very close to coming back and beating us game 1.
I'm afraid our program is about to be set back years to come. Unreal.

Yep if Moorhead is fired, I predict that we will fall to the 2004-2005 level over the next couple of years.
If we keep Moorhead, we will be average to good each year with a shot at having a great season every 4th/5th year. Basically similar to the Mullen years.
I have said he needs to shore up some his weaknesses, correct some things and in general improve. I do think he will do those things and we will benefit from it in the coming years.
