I got his email and number, so I can be the messenger. We were planning a golf trip down to Louisiana/NOLA during the MSU spring break, but it fell through.

Most likely. Magnolia Grove (Crossings, Falls, and Short Course) is the RTJ Trail. The Short Course was rated Golf Digest's top Par 3 course in the country when I worked there.
Lakewood is just across the street from the Grand. No affiliation to my knowledge.

Lakewood is an RTJ course as well.

I'm just the other side of the State line in Mississippi. I went to school at a private school in Mobile and worked at RTJ.

I've played:
Senator, Judge, and Legistlator at Capitol Hill
Links and Lake at Grand National (no short course)
Valley at Oxmoor Valley
That's it.
I'll mark off Highland Oaks soon though. Gonna try and play all 27.

Have you played both Lakewood and Magnolia Grove?
I just revised my golf trip plan, and I'm gonna swing by Mobile on the way to Baton Rouge.
Gonna play 36 holes at either Magnolia Grove or Lakewood. Any suggestions?

I've never played Lakewood but naturally I've played all three courses at MG while working there because it was cheap.
I would recommend MG though, no way Lakewood is as good. The Falls and Crossings are special. The Falls wraps around a couple lakes and it's beautiful. The Crossings actually cross the railroad in a few places. It is also the site of the LPGA tour every summer.
Hit me up when you're trying to make it down there and I will try to go home that weekend. I love to play that course. I also know someone that still works there that could give us the hookup.

It'll be that first weekend of Spring Break.
Gonna try and play the three 9 hole courses in Dothan before a wedding Saturday, then wake up early Sunday and head to Mobile to play Magnolia Grove.
