What a wild trip. We had a party of 20 scheduled for the game, so we rented a house near St. Augustine. Only 16 made the trip. 4 stayed home with the flu. People started dropping on Day one and by the time the game rolled around there were only 6 healthy bodies that made the game.
I don't think it ever got over 49, and there was a constant cold damp wind. It reminded me of watching baseball games back in the old Candlestick Park in SF.
The game was fun though. I was very proud of the troops. It wasn't perfect, but it was a very nice win!

I couldn’t feel my damn feet after the game. We brought some Hothands, luckily, but I did not pack correctly for that game at all.
On the plus side, Jacksonville had a much better nightlife than I expected

This has been the worst flu season I've ever seen. It's spreading like wildfire, everyone I know has gotten it.
I had it so bad I almost had to go to the ER. Lost 20 lbs in 48 hours literally spent 10 hours straight sitting on a toilet with diarrhea holding a trash can in front of me for puking. I've never been scared I might die until that night...got so dehydrated it took all I had to get up off the floor and reach the sink for water. It's a bad feeling when you live alone and it's the middle of the night knowing nobody is awake to come help you. I was so close to calling an ambulance and it finally stopped enough to be able to hold water down

I have no idea how I don't have the flu. The other 5 people that went with me to the game are now out of action. That is 19 out of 20, and I feel fine. I shared a house with 15 flu patients and lived to tell about it.
