We will have 3 home games between November 5th and our next football game.

We have a lot of momentum going into this season with a stable coach and a stable program. We are out of the hole finally.

Our first NCAA Tournament appearance in 10 years was last year and we defeated an Auburn team that went to the Final Four last year for those that claim this team does not win big games.

Once Weatherspoon gets back in late December, we should get into playing our best basketball into February and I am excited to see what this team can do. Reggie Perry is going to be fun to watch.

We got fricked by the SEC in the conference scheduling, but I still think we can have a lot of fan support going into the late winter months.

Certainly, Howland is better than the thing before him. I think he also a good recruiter. I have my doubts about his coaching however. Every time I see than run that stupid weave back and forth I want to throw a brick at my TV. Rarely, if ever, does it do anything other than waste time setting up a shot. Yes, he has brought the program up several notches from the previous years, but somehow I don't see it advancing past the present level of just sneeking into March Madness, with maybe one win. Does anyone know what Weatherspoon did to get suspended for so long.

Is FIU considered a decent opponent?

Returned 4 starters from a 20-win team a season ago. Who knows, but I sure hope they are quality.

67-58 win over Sam Houston State

23 turnovers for State and they were the story for most of the game. But the last 5 minutes were special.

Carter is really emerging, Perry needs to show up for more than 5 mins, and Mollinar needs more experience but Weatherspoon will fix this.

Next game is vs UL Monroe Thursday at 6:00 at the Hump
