This could mean several things. As in, he was quoted as saying this in an article, for example. Are you inferring that you know Cord's dad personally?

Are you honestly pretending to NOT be a negative State fan? Really? The first State fan online to call Chris Jones to Ole Miss on every State board out there is "a realist"...
I brought it to everyone's attention. Please stop acting like you knew the whole time he was coming to State.
I seem to remember you getting pissed at me for "being negative" about the possiblity of us striking out on O'Korn and Dobbs before that happened.

Kinda like when you are throwing Bundy under the bus about negative Cohen/Thompson as if you weren't at the forefront of the mob in the tough years? "Levelheaded" Gold courtesy of Requiem prior to the Super Regional run...
Nowhere in there did I say I wanted him fired. I said the players hated him, which was true. I know several players from the team Cohen's 1st 2 years. I'm glad he either became less of a hard arse or started recruiting players that weren't such pussies.
I can link you to a video of a speech Cohen gives at a coaches clinic in which he says coaches should not care if their players like them or not.
I'm glad you are so obsessed with me to look that up though.

I'm inferring that I've met and talked to him -- and have several good mutual acquaintances.

I never wavered on it. Not once. And I knew for several weeks before "the visit" that it was inevitable. You "just called it to everyone's attention?" You started a thread congratulating OM for flipping him on the recruiting board at the very first possibility that he had even a hint of interest in them -- not to mention the hoops you jumped through to assume this was talking about him.

You bring this up in practically every post you make toward me. It's been beaten to death. Is there a point you are attempting to make? My point was always that we were GOING to take a 2nd qb -- and we were going to be fine at the position. You were in premature full meltdown mode about it. Guess what? We did -- and we are. So, you freaked out for no reason -- exactly like I told you at the time. You can focus on the names -- I'll focus on the big picture.

Are you trying to imply that you never said such things? And that you didn't consistently hold that viewpoint well into year 3?

You really went to bat for him...

I'm glad he...Always recruited players that weren't such pussies -- and everything started to turn as the last of the Polk players disappeared and these players became our primary contributors

Ok?

Stumbled upon it awhile back and found the irony overwhelming -- but you are welcome. It certainly piqued my interest.

Apparently, based on the portrayals, Herb Brooks didn't care if his players liked him and he arguably got the most out of any sports team that ever existed (1980 US Olympic hockey team). I think your players definitely need to respect you but they certainly don't have to like you.
