Just a couple of random thoughts, but it is amazing to me how much the campus has changed since my two experiences at MSU. I was there in the early-mid 90's for undergrad and 2000-2001 for grad school. I get back there frequently every football weekend and for a few basketball games. Football games are usually hectic with tailgating and not much time to sight see, but we were there a few weeks ago for the Kentucky women's game and this past Friday night and Saturday for the women's game. We were in a hurry to grab some lunch before the Kentucky game and stopped in at the Fresh Food Company for lunch. This past weekend, we had some time to kill so we went to the library to see the Lincoln/Grant/Grisham/Music exhibits then I did the boring dad drive around campus to show the family where I used to have class and such.

Back in my day, nobody wanted to live on campus. I spent a semester in Suttle Hall and then got the heck out. It felt like being in some sort of prison. Maybe it just has something to do with being older, but I think the campus is great now and if I were to go back I'd much rather live on campus than off. Really impressed with what's going on and if you're like me and don't often get the time to just take a look around while you're there, I encourage you to spend some time wandering around campus and see all the good things that are happening.

I'll conclude my old man thread with a few pics.

It's amazing the advancements not only campus has made, but the city of Starkville as well.

It's not recognizable from 20 years ago
