It's pretty sad that us 10 or so are the only ones who stand up during the game. A fair amount of students go, but they are about as vanilla as 2012 Mullen's Offense.

Man, when I was in school it was the last years that the student section was on the side instead of behind the baskets. The entire student section stood the whole time and that place was fricking loud. Its a shame what the hump has become.

Let's get some better players, keep this system, and keep this intensity, and we will get loud again. I left The Hump many times in the past where my ears rang for 24 hours afterwards. I am looking forward to getting back to that level of home support for the team.

When I went to MSU, some of the Rick's Rowdies were really weird.

In my experiences they have always been really weird.
Showing up two hours early for some games, like 8 for the Kentucky game one year that Cousins was there and drinking whiskey in the 20 degree weather with 15 mph winds (frick that day and game), and another one longer than two hours for the John Wall crew when Jamont Rhodes and Varnado were there. It would piss me off that we could only go down to the railing and the frick up rick's rowdies would get the gray chairbacks were the courtside seats are now

Some were ok. I just didn't like the ones that tried to save a million seats and the ones that painted themselves while waiting in line.

Yeah some of those guys could be pretty lame and had no self awareness to realize that nobody liked them. I feel like that, along with a really shitty season, were contributing factors as to why the vast majority of the student section sits down now. It'll just take a little time before we get it back to where it was.
