Today was likely the bubble to the nit, but still a small chance to go big...

NIT...win it? 10% at best.

NIT....like being picked last in grade school for sack races. Hard to get excited.

80-73 win over aLabama. Much to the disappointment of our men's basketball doubters

SC is a big big big chance to get off the bubble...Beating Ala. kicked us one spot according the all seer Lunardi. Win out and finish high in the sec tourney is needed.

The more I watch this team the more I see Carter as needing more time on the court, he's a scorer, not only three's but his drives to the basket are smooth and finish well, whether as a layup, or a trip to the foul line. The last three games he has been high scorer twice and second once. And yes, his three's have been inconsistent, but Weather three's are not to be considered. Compare the ball handling, ie. dribbling between the Carter and Weather, I'll take Carter any day of the week.

Because it's college basketball. No one is consistent in this sport. If Duke is losing to Wake Forest and NC State, then a mid tier SEC Program like us shouldn't be surprised that we aren't.

I thought we would be better this year but my god the support around this team is acting like we're in the Rick Ray era

I seriously wonder how much better this program would be with even mid tier SEC Fan support.

Last night was a neutral site game and it was pathetic

Oh absolutely we have to beat South Carolina. In fact we have to win at Missouri and obviously at home vs Ole Miss.

I'm VERY concerned about winning 2 straight road games like this.

Auburn couldn't win at Missouri and Kentucky couldn't win at South Carolina.

I think we'll beat Ole Miss at home similarly to how we defeated Alabama

SC seems to be very inconsistent..barely beat GA at home.
I do hope for a win there, know we can do it.
Mz. will be tough and actually so could Ole Miss. I see no reason we could not take all three and enter the SEC tourney on a high note.

All 3 will be tough I agree, and I agree that State is the better team than all 3, but in the SEC and ecspecially college basketball, the best team isn't winning every game, ecspecially road games.

I think we are catching Missouri at a good time, coming off a win and not really playing for anything.

I kinda wish SC had lost tonight so they stopped playing for anything but that shall be tough as usual in Columbia. Martin remarkably only has 1 tournament appearance in 8 years there.

And Ole Miss being a rivalry and us being their super bowl was evident in Oxford. But we tend to do well at the Hump against them as opposed to have only beating Ole Miss once in the past 10 years in Oxford.

SEC Teams went 1-6 on the road Saturday and we were the only SEC Team to have gotten a road win. To make it clear, winning on the road is difficult in the SEC no matter who it is. For a variety of reasons, anyone who watches basketball knows this. Refs, home crowds etc. It is just tough to do.

The win makes this week even bigger. And I am afraid we have to go 2-0 again this week. SC on the road concerns me greatly. This is a team that can beat big time teams at home such as Kentucky. The fact that we play them twice every year is frustrating to say the least. Ole Miss will obviously be a concern once we get to it, but I like the fact that it is at home and we have done fine at home games this season, like avenging a 69-90 loss at Alabama this past week with an 80-73 win.

We are also now #4 in the SEC which means we have a chance for our first top 4 SEC finish since 2008.

This week is HUGE, it all starts Tuesday. Hail State!
