Great job from our team last night!
My thoughts:

1. Key threw for 364 yards and 5 touchdowns, but only 13/31 passing. A big cause of that was because of us taking shots down the field all game.

2. The Play calling last night is not going to be our normal offense. Hill and Williams only ran the ball 15 times combined. Moorhead was basically using the second half last night to give Keytaon and the wide receivers reps.

3. We played a lot of zone coverage last night that killed our defensive backs. Hopefully Shoop sees that and calls more man. I think he was using the second half last night to get our guys reps playing zone coverage. Hopefully we see a lot more man coverage this weekend.

4. We got out of the game injury free. That's great.

5. Our pass blocking struggled last night, but we threw the ball a lot last night. I think we'll be fine.

6. Our front seven is loaded. 17 tackles for loss last night. Sweat had 2 sacks.

7. Wide Receivers were much better last night. They'll look even better when Fitz gets back.

8. Road game this weekend. Kansas State struggled to beat South Dakota last night. We need to take care of business.

9. Things I want to see vs. Kansas State:
• Run the ball more, open up the offense.
• More man coverage, less zone coverage.
• A big Bulldog win!

I hope the coaches will engage Williams more in the running game in the next two weeks and he doesn’t get his head down and get discouraged. In the SEC West, there will be games where we have to have his style of running to compete. Moorhead alluded to there being games on the schedule where you are going to have to consistently grind out 9/10 play drives to be successful. Williams is an important piece to that formula in my opinion.

Corner play was also concerning, and they did pop a few runs up the middle on us which was one of the complaints about UT Shoop. Hopefully that was more on substitutions and a non-competitive score than play calling, although Wyatt mentioned on the radio our guys were slanting and SFA just had the right play called.

I don't need to see a perfect game vs Stephen F Austin. I just needed to see State easily win which they did. I agree that this game was a practice for the passing offense. Which is what I wanted for Fitzgerald but whatever.

Read a Wichita article that KSU struggled with a FCS opponent in 2011 and won 10 games. And they lost to one in 2013 and went 8-5. I think State shines in this game.

Let's get to 2-0!

He looked bad in the 3rd qtr. he needed to hit some of those shots.

I’m hoping aeris is being “saved”for the nov grind. Hill is awesome but I would have thought aeris would have had more touches.

Mayben is literally Relf v2.0.
