Renfroe appears to be gone, but what do you guys think about Frazier, maybe Rea, and others??

I think Renfroe and Evan Mitchell are the only two that we will lose to the Draft.

Others like CT, Wes, Adam will get drafted, but I don't think they'll go high enough to leave. Matthew Stevens is adamant in thinking Adam is gone, but that could be just him trying to stir the pot, per usual.

The top 338 picks is key. Those are the ones with higher slotted signing bonuses. Everyone picked after round 10 get a base of $100k -- doesn't matter if you go in the 11th or the 40th. Thus, why it's reasonable to think those kids will either come to college or show up in hopes of increasing their value. LINK

Here's "our" projections(Baseball America) followed by my projection that we keep/hold them:
11 - Hunter Renfroe(0%)
40 - Cord Sandberg(25% -- don't think he gets taken this high -- Needs to fall from top 100)
144 - Adam Frasier(50%)
317 - Dakota Hudson(75%)
411 - Evan Mitchell(10%)
470 - Kendall Graveman -- SR obviously gone
489 - Gavin Collins(80%)

I'm almost as nervous about tomorrow as NSD(in general) over Sandberg. The first 73 picks are tomorrow. If we survive those, we've got a pretty good chance of getting him.

The scouts like Frazier. I talked to a scout at Hoover. He is 3rd round possible. He has to go.

Hit in the .400s -- but hard really bad power and RBI numbers. His team was pretty terrible though, so teams presumably pitched around him a bunch...

Yeah, I'm sure they did, but with terrible power numbers, that's got to help our chances because power was something the scouts raved about with him, right?

This kid could become a 1st rounder if he comes to college.

As much showcase and tryout environments as he's been in, I'm betting that they've got a better picture of his overall power potential than his actual HS numbers can give them.

Just in the past week he's been to like 5 different MLB parks to hit live for their scouts.

Hoping that, for once, the baseball(and football) gods smile on us.

Yeah, his potential is insane. Could easily be a weekend starter for us as a true freshman next year.

Was hitting 90-91 last year when he committed to us. He's hitting 94-95 now.

He's a Stanek/ Nola type kid

It's also a fairly weak year for middle infielders- I think Frazier gets taken high enough to leave

And thenwe got to figure out how to fix the damn left side of our infield

He's not coming to college

Yeah, we are in big-time trouble at SS if Frazier leaves.

I'm just being overly optimistic for once.

Cord not picked in the first round. Mixed feelings about that...feels wrong to want him to be picked in a late round just so he will come to State.

But he has a chance to be a dual-sport guy for us, and could go in future drafts in either sport.
