Perk and Russell are going to get the nod because they are both going to be seniors.

This should have zero bearing on why anyone gets the nod in any sport ever.

As far as I'm concerned Russell still deserves to start next season. Perk on the other hand not so much.

He needs to have his role reduced back to pass and screen game, and let Griffin/Robinson take over more of the Vick Ballard role imo.

Yep. He is very effective at that. No offense to him.

Did we even attempt a screen pass against ole miss?

Perk is still a SEC leader as a rusher. You guys seem to be forgetting that. I'm sure ole miss was a little extra fired up in stopping him b/c of a Clarion Ledger article "Rebel Killer". I agree Griffin probably needed more touches in that situation but a look at the whole season, Perkins is/was the best back. Griffin was slow coming on early in the season. Josh was dancing in the backfield. Perkins has better vision and quicker to the corners.

I will agree though, next year is next year and the best player should be playing.

Well Perk didn't even play in the LSU game and how did that work out? We had 47 yards on 24 carries was how. I'm all for giving Nick and JRob more carries especially for inside running plays but that is NOT going to cure our OL play against top line SEC defenses.

I agree, but when Perk is getting his arse stuffed and Perk is getting 6-8 a pop it's time to make a change within the game.
