He's not your typical kid who goes to pro baseball instead of footabll like Billy Hamilton a few years ago. I believe he truly loves football and wants to compete in the SEC.
There are some new MLB draft rules and a smaller first round in the draft this year as well as a heavy college class that will be draft eligible this year. Cord will have to have an unreal baseball season to put him in the top 1-2 rounds of the draft. If hes not selected that high I expect him to come to State and play both.

I hope he wears #24 at state that would be cool seeing a QB wear that

and you know these things how?
After reading the interviews with him, I just get the impression that if he's taken in the top 5 rounds then he's gone. He has already said that he won't sign with MLB and play CFB, so that alone hurts our chances.

I would let him wear whatever he wanted to wear. Hell I would give him 00 if it made him make the commit. That being said the Michigan guy sitting behind us at the Gator two years ago couldn't figure out why our QB was wearing 36. I listended to him bitch about it till his dipshit son googled it and told him. He was like "well, I guess there's that"

Russell and the offense scored plenty of points to win games. Direct your ire at the defense where it belongs. Any deficiencies on offense were the play calling to some degree and lack of the ability to adjust to the opponents D.

Bundy- as the other poster said- if he gets drafted highly- he is gone. With MLB changing their rules, they HAVE to sign their top draft picks. So they aren't going to draft anybody in the top 3-4-5 rounds that they dont think will sign.
If Cord is taken in the top 5 rounds- it means he is gone- no matter how long he drags it out over the summer. Last year- only 1 of the top 60 picks didnt sign- and that was because he didnt want to go to the Pirates

Yes and No. That is what makes this an interesting debate. With the offense that we ran prior to this year, Dak would be a HUGE upgrade over any other QB, including Russell. Dak is effective running on direct snaps because it is 11 on 11. With Russell, there is always one extra defender because Russell isn't a threat to run.
Russell brings a unique skill set to the game, but his passing has got to be balanced with a competent running game for this offense to be effective. A single back with no option-attack and no lead blockers just isn't going to get it done against any defense with a pulse. 55 ypg says this is a fact.
We need a change. The debate is over which change to make. Either we go back to what we were doing with Dak at the helm, or we restructure the running attack that Russell uses.
Personally, I would like to see Dak and Nick in the backfield with Perkins coming in for a change of pace.

Nick Griffin NEEDS to be getting way MORE snaps.

We only scored 61 points in our 4 losses (15 ppg) and 21 of those points were on Dak Prescott TD passes. So Russell accounted for 10 ppg in the big games.
We need to add some I-formation if Tyler is going to remain the QB. The reason you run the Spread is to get an advantage in the box- and Tyler can't run- so we dont have that advantage.

There is a reason that LSU uses a 270-lb fullback against Bama.

Bundy:
[quote]Meet Cord Sandberg, the kid with a decision to make.
Football or baseball? Yes, Sandberg has committed to play football with the Bulldogs. But he's also gearing up for baseball season, his fourth year as a varsity starter, and ready to man centerfield for a Hurricanes team looking to win its third straight district title.
He was selected to play in last summer's Perfect Game All-American Classic in San Diego, and Baseball America ranked Sandberg 46th in its list of its top 50 prospects for the Class of 2013.
If he's a high draft pick next summer and the money is right, Sandberg may take a stab a professional baseball.
"In my heart, I really do want to play baseball," Sandberg said.

Like I've told you before, you better focus your attention to the flippage of Josh Dobbs.

I still feel good about Sandberg.
All this talk about Dobbs flipping makes you sound like OM posters talking about Kailo flipping except Dobbs aint even been to visit us.

You're going to be really upset when I'm right about Sandberg/Dobbs, and OM fans are right about Moore.

And you say this with absolutely no basis for belief. I think you actually believe that if you tell yourself something enough that it will eventually happen.
