T. Carter has been one of the top scorers during this season, but yet he is not starting, plays fewer minutes than Weather, or Stewart, but usually outscores their points combined, ie Al. game 19 to 15, SC gane 24 to 11, Mz. game 15 to 20, TA&N 19-13, SC 9 to 38, ARK 26 to 20.

So for these six games he has outscored the combined two in 4 of 6. In the total he has scored 102 to their 117 in a lot fewer minutes per game. He is the second leading scorer on the team, only 3 per game less than Perry. His drives to the basket are almost a thing of beauty the way he weaves through defenders and his shots are more accurate than Spoon who is often wild or must pull up for a jump shot.

Were I coach, Carter would start over Stewart or Spoon, and would certainly play more minutes than either of them.

Our team, I believe, has as more talent over several of the teams we have lost to, but our passing game, is....well, lacking. We dribble too much out front. I have to question the overall game strategy. Not that I do not appreciate what Howland has done his five yrs. recovering from his predecessor's debacle, but yet.......

Let him start over Weatherspoon. Hell, let Molinar start over him.

Molinar definitely needs to be playing more minutes.
Weatherspoon needs fewer minutes. He certainly is talented enough but has not learned enough control to be a really good PG.
Carter plays plenty of minutes. That is not really an issue.
I still maintain Perry is not ready for the NBA. He is a very good player but IMO he could be a lottery pick next year with the team we have coming back next year. I don’t see him being a 1st round pick this year and possibly not even being a 2nd round pick. He needs to mature and develop some more,

The reason is early on in the season, Carter was in a shooting slump and they found he was shooting much better coming off the bench than starting.

I think him switching back and forth from the PG to SG role was messing with him too.

If I'm not mistaken he's getting about the same minutes as he was when he was starting, he's just contributing from off the bench now. Also think he's in contention for 6th man of the year now

Mollinar is more of a true PG than Nick is. Wouldn't surprise me if he surpassed him next year.

I really think DJ Stewart next year can fill the role of Tyson Carter.

Reggie Perry is gone. And I have maintained that I believe he's a first round pick. His stats in the SEC with points and rebounding are really unmatched. And while I'd enjoy to have him back, I really want this program to finally have a draft pick to look at so we can build off of that(well at least this program under Howland).

I can't remember his name but we have a pretty good freshman coming in too.

I don't think we'll drop off as bad next year so I'm actually ok now with the direction. Ecspecially if we have a good SECT.

Being considered for the best sixth man as your teams second leading scorer is a condition that I simply do not understand, point being, if WS or Stewart were the sixth man, based on there stats, neither would be considered, period. I am guessing, that Carter starts against Ole Miss, but the reason will be last home game as a senior, which will be the wrong reason for him to start.

With Carter and Perry gone next year, unless there is truly great freshman coming in, I do not see next yr. any better than this one. This team has done about what I expected coming in, high NIT.

We’re 11-4 in SEC play since he made the switch. Seems to be working.
