They are expanding their facilities, he and a crew are just here to see ours for reference. Unfortunately.

Think we could get him back if we took 2Mil from Mullen or the next guy we hire?

Expect Cohen to be named new athletic director. Bad move in my opinion.

That's the rumor from the CL as of 11 am, but looks to be a done deal.

This has been interesting. So if he isn't the AD officially, is it same to assume that he is the lead candidate at this point?

According to Paul Jones on 247 Cohen doesn't even interview until later and the whole thing is still wide open.

Maybe they were floating it out there to see the reception? Maybe Bonner just tried to get a scoop on a very minor story...I don't know.

It's very odd to come out with a story and be immediately swatted down.

It's actually pretty funny. I bet some of the comments on C-L are pretty good

I would not be surprised if it turned out to be true though eventually.

It has been widely speculated the whole time, so I wouldn't either. Terrible hire if true imo. Lose a good baseball coach and get an unproven AD, who most consider a bad "people person". Could be a home run hire though for all I know. Pun intended

Oh I am definitely quitting as an MSU fan if true.

I am down to one MSU cap so it will be an easy clean up.

It's fun to joke about but honestly, as long as we have a good baseball hire lined up, I would be ok with Cohen. I assume that the staff is in place around the position to make a solid transition.

Think it's risky, but could also be incredibly rewarding.

It would have to be a gigantic hire. Cohen is probably around a top 20ish coach. Would need to be better than that.

Athletic directors handle more than just baseball. That's where I think it could be trouble. I have no doubt he would take good care of states baseball program.
