I thought it would be that way for Fletcher Adams as well... but I was a bit surprised that he's heading to Oxford this weekend instead of Tuscaloosa.

So it'll probably be a State-Bama battle for Lewis. Interesting.

Well that's the 2 JR days he's going to this and next weekend.

I won't lie. Lewis has the best MLBer film I've seen sans Ruben Foster. He is an absolute stud.

If Bama doesn't land him I hope State does. As I said on the Help Board, my step dad is a State alumnus and I have a stepbrother and stepsister attending State now.

I had season tickets in 2009 so I saw in person the debacle against LSU and the epic Egg Bowl win.

State has always been my second favorite school. If it wasn't for my grandfather I'd be a State fan too.

Looks like Leo Lewis, Jamal Peters, and Malik Dear all went to Bama JR day over Ole Miss.

Interesting.

BOL has a story about Leo Lewis' experience at Junior Day yesterday. Here are the cliffs:

-Said he had a great visit and got to meet the coaches and some players.
-Talked to Saban about the prestige of Alabama and the facilities. Also talked about academics.
-Saban told him he was a great player and that he hadn't seen film like his in a long time. Lewis said it gave him chills when he heard that.
-Met with Kevin Steele who took him through the defense and showed him how they use LBers.
-He loves Steele. Says he's a great guy.
-He met with Reuben who told him he would be his mentor if he came to Bama.
-Lewis said the discipline and dedication of the football program is what really stands out to him.
-Likes how Bama develops players into men.
-Said he doesn't have favorites but that Alabama, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Florida are recruiting him the hardest.
-Lewis will attend MS State's Junior Day next weekend.
-He will return to Tuscaloosa for A-Day.

Maybe not you, per say, but it will some. Hell there was a post in the Leo Lewis thread on the RB that said State wasn't even in it for this guy, that it was going to be OM/BAMA all the way.

I have no doubt that there are OM fans that discount state ever being in on a guy we want just like I don't doubt that there are state fans who believe everything Paul says when he claims OM isn't a top contender for Malik dear or Jamal peters or Javon Patterson.

They are the same kind of fans who can't imagine why a recruit would go to another school or believe that their team is winning the west next year.

Very good post.

Paul has barely posted any updates in any of the three recruiting weekends we've had so far. Other than to just see the profiles and corporate 24/7 stuff our site has been a waste of time lately. I may cancel after signing day.

ETA: Edited for language because WildDogHunter is a fricking count.
