Does anyone who has a pay account to 247 or rivals wanna recap what Javon Patterson has to say about his visit? Apparently he really enjoyed it more than he thought he would.
Not that it matter to much but as soon as he was interviewed after junior day he immediately went from "warm" to "warmer"

he liked the love he got from the coaches and the family atmosphere. Jesse Jackson showed him around. He hung out with Justin Malone and some other OLs.
Got to talk to Dak and he is a "great guy" as is Mullen. Mullen offered him in 10th grade and always jokes around and "picks on me".
He believes Mullen has the program heading the right way.
Doesn't have any favorites but all the SEC schools are high on his list...making a decision in November.

Whatever is being said in interviews, JC Shurburtt just flipped his CB picks from OM to us for both Patterson and Peters... And Peters didn't make either JR day I don't believe...

Any early feedback from prospects on Brian Johnson? I watched the interview Bob had with him yesterday, and it seems like he'll hit it off with a lot of croots.

I don't really put much into crystal ball predictions from Demetric Warren but he seems to have a pretty good relationship with Jonnas Spivey. They are tweeting back and forth. He may actually know something with that particular recruit.

So we are probably about to add a four star to our 2014 class, no?

People seem to think Malik Dear will be the next one.

It would seem so -- as a placement guy...

Yeah, Warren knows what's going on with some of the coast recruits.
Seems there has been alot of overall traction toward Spivey to us...

Spivey is near the top of the flip list, imo.

You're predicting he is the CJ/Kailo/Tee of this class?

from what I have read about him yes.
I always saw that he loved OM and as soon as they offered he would commit, but he wants to play QB and OM hasn't offered that (I don't think we have/will either).
So even if he commits to us, I see down the road OM telling him he can play QB since they always have to "flip" one of our commits

Yeah, he's a solid pick for that.

It really comes down to Ole Miss spurning him. Everyone thought OM led b/c he and Moncreif are cool but MSU is recruiting him hard and OM is not. I'm not sure why. I don't what is going on with them right now b/c last year they outworked us early and this year is a complete reversal and some.

It's fixed now engie. Not sure what that was.

Spivey doen't even have an Ole Miss offer right now LINK Just MSU and Tennessee. It makes no sense. They don't know what position he plays (b/c it isnt QB) and they are probably passing for the same reason they are passing on Malik Dear. This is kind of getting into their spin but they have a ton of slot/scat back guys on their roster. They don't need much of that role. They desperately need big RBs. They are also very full a Safety. Spivey could be a safety possibly but that depth chart at OM isn't appealing. The same reason on Peters. Ole Miss is in a spot they haven't been with Freeze which is having specific needs. They aren't in a spot where they just sign every highly rated guy they can. I'm curios to see how Freeze does this year. Remember when MSU fans made fun of OM for signing 32 RBs in 2 years?

that's just the cycle of MS recruiting. Neither school is going to have sustained dominance.
