From reading twitter, we have a shite ton of our NFL alums on campus for junior day. Good to see these guys still want to help the program out.
For sure.
For some of his faults, Mullen has done a tremendous job keeping those guys involved.
Now, if he'd just talk Fletch and Boobie into purchasing State Theatre...

Shhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.
Me and my buddy went with Boobie and Brandon Hart (don't know if y'all remember him or not) to State Theatre on a Tuesday night many years ago. The whole thing was done up in that room upstairs with no windows. Needless to say we stood out like a sore thumb but it was a hell of a night and a great story to talk about today.

Likely just one commit from Kentavious Thomas but there's a second guy who could still pull the trigger ( not sure who). Tommy Champion isn't coming this weekend so unlikely he commits but still should soon.

I've read some people think that Dear might commit today.

I don't care who buys it as long as they have someone who knows what tf they are doing run it. One guy has been able to run that place (Dave Hood) but he decided not to fool with it since it bit the food from his other hand. That place has so much potential for greatness but no one has one earthly clue (besides Dave) on how to turn that into a cash machine.
IMO you have to utilize that space for cash earning potential from 11 am to bar closing every night. The key is a killler meat and 3 at lunch. Not much competition in Starkville there. Do 3k a day at lunch, 7 days a week and you're over 80k a month to help pay the bills. Night time do burgers/sandwiches and bar food and drinks. Hit live music hard and do different themed nights to cater to the different crowds.

The problem, as I understand it, in running the place is the price on the "lease". Too many hands in the cookie jar and it's spread too thin...
IMO anyone who owned it outright could be profitable...

Yeah I've heard the lease price is ridiculous.

Kentavious just committed
That makes 5 commitments and 4 of them are 4*s

The lease is a bunch but I've had this conversation with Dave Hood. Trust me, anyone with any sense can make money of that space. There have been quiete a few groups of investors/owners who have never been in the bar business give it a go. The issue with the bar business in Starkville is that college town bars work at 10x less the margin of other bars (cheap drinks etc...) b/c they have to compete. That's why it is imperative to know what your doing. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to make money at the Bulldog in Jxn w/$4 beers and $8 crowns. It takes skill to turn a profit on a bar with $2 wells or $1 you call it night.
