Updated with Gerri Green's commitment as well as Elijah Staley's reported weight gain.

So, does anybody know if we're recruiting any DT's this year(or next). We didn't take any last year, Eulls and PJ don't have much longer, and Quay and Nick are either gonna be lazy POS's or won't be here very long.

"Big" Cory Thomas from McAdory HS in Alabama
Grant Harris from Clinton HS
Breeland Speaks from Calloway

Those are our top 3 DL prospects we would take all 3 if we can

I would count on Harris but the other 2 are a long shot IMO

Big Cory is FAR from a long shot he has had us as his leader for months and hasn't changed that stance even after Florida, Tennessee, Clemson, FSU, and Alabama offers.

Gerri Green got a 4th star on 247 today.

Barton Simmons says he could go higher with a solid season

Kriffing read Bundy. I said DT's, not DL. Cory could grow into a DT, but at 6'6 getting leverage would be difficult, and Harris is unlikely to go that route if he keeps his current frame. As for Speaks, as far as I knew(and I'll admit that's not a lot as I can't afford subscriptions and likely wouldn't pay if I could), he was all OM. Isn't he part of the Calloway bunch? I'm not putting my eggs in that basket.

Is Braxton Hoyett a take for us? He plays DT, I think. Also, he's set to announce next week. If he's a take, I think he chooses us.

Here's this:

@Rivals_Robbie: 2014 DT Braxton Hoyett of Pelham Ala., tells me he plans to choose between Miami (Fla) and MSU next week.

Paul keeps saying he is behind some people. I'm expecting him to choose Miami

The thing is, Hoyette is behind some people at Miami as well plus they already have 3-4 DT commits. He pushed his announcement to next month. Im not sure hes a take unless we miss on Speaks and Harris.

Do we project Thomas as a DT or DE?

He could play both similar to Fletcher Cox did early in his career. Depends on how much weight he puts on. He plays DT in HS at McAdory

Looking at the Mississippi HS class of 2015 it's LOADED with big name recruits.
