By average stars - 27th(85.57)

Adjusted for attrition:
By average stars - 26th(86.33)

We haven't lost anything of consequence yet... although I agree that it's strange to lose players this early, and could potentially be due to a lack of the good evaluations by our staff that we've come to expect.

We BADLY need some "good" attrition toward the 85 man limit. This all fits the bill as good attrition thusfar. We only have 17 scholarship seniors and 11 scholarship juniors. Practically all Croom's players are gone. Mullen played almost half the 09 class as tr fr, then started redshirting practically everyone in 2010. This left us with what amounts to 2 half classes.

We needed a few underclassmen to leave to make room for full signing classes in 13... and will need a few more to leave to make room for even a decent size class in 14.

We've got 28-30 TOTAL scholarship JR and SR players. We don't have ANY scholarship upperclassmen that are low on the depth chart. LITERALLY every scholarship jr/sr on our roster is in the 2-deep.



We've lost 1 3* freshman now to go with the 2 2*s. We had 2 nonqualifiers that will be here in January. We've literally lost zero players that were on our two-deep and zero players that had a PRAYER of making the 2-deep within 3 years. Grindle's chance was to be better than Jiles and/or Redmond in this class(nevermind Coman when he gets here in January). Grindle was better than neither, and apparently didn't have confidence in EVER surpassing them either. We've got guys QUITTING because they can't live with the workload and depth chart here. They aren't our blue-chip players getting kicked off for bad behavior, skipping class, skipping workout, etc. That is why this is good attrition.

IF you wanted to troll this, you should have done it last year when we lost Michael Carr or Montrell Conner.

I thought he was a joke at 1st. Now I catch myself listening to him.

According to 247 which you State people swear by, Coman, Grindle, and Schuessler were all 3* players. I don't know who else left.

So what is the difference in having a 3* player leave now so you can sign another 3* player next year vs just signing less players next year and having a player who has been in your system for a year.

You're making sound like it definitely needed to happen. The point is all you State fans are trying to spin the situation but if it were Ole Miss you'd be talking about how we bragged about out recruiting you then had our players not make it to campus
