I tried to use that argument before last season to point out how your OL was going to suck, but according to Bundy and Cornass and others he played LT in highschool and did in fact become a badass LT between his junior and senior year.
And apparently Carmon was better with an injured knee than Clausell 100% healthy
As I told you ignorant fricks last year- Carmon was a really good run-blocker that needed work on his pass protection. And that is what we got out of him. His inexperience was a problem, but he played really well at times. And for that- Carmon was signed as a Free-agent by the Ravens and is in their camp currently.
Clausell was awful to start the season- he wasnt ready to play yet. By the end of the season- he played pretty well. He had a good Spring, and should be a solid player for us this year at LT.

Bradley Sowell got signed to as a Free-agent and went to camp as well....

Not that it takes anything away from your point, but Carmon had issues with his physical at Baltimore and signed a deal with the Bills. So he is at the Bills' camp with Chris White, if I'm not mistaken.

Some defensive end is loving his life right now and a quarterback hates his.

All the talent in the world, but hell no. He wanted to be a lazy POS.

If any State fans are questioning our recruiting, look at Chris Jones. Since we have signed him, he has gone from unranked, to an 88 3* on 247.

Either Chris Jones is a stud or Jake Thomas is overrated because he blew him up at yalls camp

I have been saying all along that I don't think Thomas is very good. He doesn't have a good frame either. Granted, he's not 100% right now. I just haven't seen anything from him that tells me he is going to be a good SEC lineman. I just want to know if he would have gotten an offer from Stanford if he was 100% because I have never seen him in person so I really shouldn't comment like I am a knowlegeable scout.

He has zero shoulders and everything I've seen on him, he's got a slow kick step, which is what makes or breaks a tackle. I've heard how he whooped Channing in a game last year and he may be a different player in pads, but he is very underwhelming at camps. I don't buy the injury thing either. How long has he been hurt? 3 months? He doesn't travel all the way to Stanford or UNC if he's injuried

you can travel to stanford and not be 100%. I mean it's either go camp with them and not be 100%, or don't camp and don't workout. They knew he wasn't 100%.

Yeah you're right. I didn't think about how football is starting now and he wouldn't get a chance later

Chris Jones is a STUD. Probably the most underrated kid in the state.

I am just trying to figure out what people see in Thomas. He just seems like a big un-agressive, slow, soft, high school player, with no shoulders.

I agree, nothing has impressed me about Thomas other than the short piece of the video showing him dominating Ward.
Then again, I haven't seen him play live yet either. He's pretty close to a consensus 4*, but his lack of national offers is a bit perplexing.

I think it's a combo of both. Honestly, I'm worried about Jake because of A)The injury/not performing in camp thing, and more importantly B)He doesn't really seem to be motivated to play football.
