Rumor has it that we are seriously in the game with Jalen Ramsey. Even beyond the extent that Barton's article on 24/7 today presented.
Going to be an interesting recruitment going forward, because his parents do not want him at USC...

I read the article on 247 and came away feeling like we may have an outside shot. I refuse to get my hopes up though.
Any insight on any further rumors you have heard?

I feel the same way.
Also, does anyone else feel like every other coach has/has had their finger up their arse concerning recruiting besides Brewster?

It has definitely opened my eyes to how questionable, maybe lazy, the rest of our staff has been as recruiters.
Thusfar, Brewster has been on a plane practically the entire time since the Egg Bowl ended. He's got 4 and 5* guys interested in us literally from coast to coast, while you don't hear a damn thing about what anyone else on staff has been doing...
Got a 5* corner interested in Florida.
Got us back in the game with a 5* corner in Tennessee.
Got a 4* DE and several others interested in Indiana.
Got a 4* LB interested in Kansas.
Got a high 3* WR interested in Texas.
Been in Cali visiting a bunch of potential recruits.

It's better than the article presents it. Barton plays it very safe in the article, and rightly so...
Basically, his parents don't want him at USC. They think it's too far from home, and Jalen is worried about Kiffin's job security going forward. We did/have done a tremendous job on selling his parents, who will probably ultimately decide for him. Alot can change between now and signing day, but based on what I've seen from people "in the know", we would have an excellent chance to sign him if he were signing tomorrow.

I read that. It's encouraging, to say the least, to see Brew generate so much interest in so many elite guys. I don't think enough can be said about the job he's doing. Even if he doesn't pull one of these elite guys, don't freak out. He's done more in 2-3 months than our entire staff has done in 2-3 years with these guys. With that being said,
Brew.
If we finish strong, this class will likely be the highest-ranked class Mullen has brought in.

Honestly, as much as I'm excited Brewster has gotten some bigger recruits to look at us, he hasn't landed us anybody that we weren't already getting. Since Brewster has been hired T-Man and Cox have committed. Cox was a lock and T-Man wouldn't have gotten anywhere else. Man needs to close some deals before we go off the deep end.

Patience. The blue chips will come. The fact that they are looking at us as seriously as they are is already a HUGE win for Brewster. I'd hedge my bets at this point on us getting at least one of these 5* corners.

You do realize relationships play a HUGE part in the recruiting game, right? With only 2-3 months on these guys, it's nearly impossible to flip a recruit or get a commitment. The guys that Brew is after aren't Jackson State, Alcorn State, etc. players. These guys have offers from literally everyone in the nation. He's doing more than enough given the time and situation that he's in. Give him a full year, and you will see results I think.
Edit: But I do see where you're coming from, and it's probably a valid point.

I would think the big part would be building the relationships with the high school coaches at the big programs that produce these guys.

next year is when you can really "judge" Brewster
like you said the fact that these big time guys like Daniel, Alexander and Ramsey are even looking at us with 2 months left is damn impressive.
IMO, even getting 1 of these guys would be amazing

That would be him. His stats aren't bad for a 9th grader.

He looks like a 9th grader?
Another teamUSA standout WR. Already been invited to compete on the u17 team. Posted 3 videos of him on the pack... Great hands, speed, and routes.
Found in one of the videos that they invited 100 kids for teamUSA and after a few days of practice, they did a draft to make 3 teams out of it for scrimmage purposes. Washington went #1 overall in the draft and O'Donnell went #2.

Could you post links here for those of us that don't sixpack? Place is too wooly for me.
