UKAthletics.com Press Conference with Transcript

Talks a bit about Florida's D, the injury situation, and whether Joker returning will have any kind of impact on the players.

Florida fans seem to be struggling with angst. I think this could be a surprise this week. Would love to see a 2nd 26 year streak come to an end...

I suspect if UK can get a special teams or defensive score, you have a legitimate shot. I think it will take Mizzou doing the same thing. If UK can do that and add a couple offensive scores, I really think UF is ripe for an upset. Of course I said that all last year too and was wrong.

Hope springs eternal as a UK fan. Would love to see an all out effort by our boys and eek out a win. My head says no, but my heart says yes.

Now how many times have I said that as a Tigers fan as well. I am just amazed at how UF has next to no offense. Of all the schools in the SEC, you'd think UF would be landing nothing but talent at the skill positions down there in Florida. Don't know if it's the system or the personnel, but if they have trouble scoring, you always have a chance. I really think it comes down to turnovers and special teams. If you can get a score off of a turnover and then win the battle for field position, you have a fighting chance. But the team has to understand that too. They aren't going to score massive points and sometimes just getting one or two first downs is actually a victory if you can get UF deep in their own end.

Changing coordinators over the years has hurt them. This would be the year though if you two were going to pull the upset.

I agree with both of you.

It's really interesting, this is year 3 of Muschamp, and while they have had success, they are nothing like the teams of Spurrier or Meyer, and I wonder when the buzzards start circling for Muschamp. Way too much talent in Florida to not have better skill position players every year.
I wonder if he doesn't have his eye on a return to Texas....

With Mack Brown imploding it may not be buzzards. Could be steers. UT needs a D and there is no denying Gators have one.

Yep, I'm kind of wondering if he won't look for a safe landing spot in the big12 and get out of the pressure cooker that is the SEC. I bet Foley has Charlie Strong's cell on speed dial, even though Charlie has said that he didn't enjoy his time at UF.

If they lose to UGA again (please, please make this happen) then I would imagine they'll start the ball rolling pretty darn fast.
