Neat article from Orlando sentinel talking about the rapid firing and hiring of coaches going on now

Anyway, in it there's this
quote:

The 54-year-old Ohioan played four seasons at Iowa (1986-89) for a coach who was there 20 years. On Hayden Fry’s staff was his successor and current Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz, now in his 23rd season.

quote:

“It says a lot about Iowa,” Stoops said. “That says a lot about the fan base and a lot about the people and the way the coach and the people treat each other. I can relate because I feel I have a great relationship with the fans here.

Makes me feel a little better about lsus alledged interest and possibly Florida's (if the interest is true). Sounds like he at least appreciates the places where they don't can people after just 3 or 4 seasons so we've got that going for us.

Does make me worry more about Iowa whenever it comes open if Stoops is still here.

If I’ve got a good gig going at an SEC school, I just can’t imagine taking a job outside of the best conference in football when you have complete control of the program.
