There are ten thousand of these.

Are there really?
Besides, this forum has the best layout and great content on other parts of the website. An Alabama forum would make it even better.

Agree with what dbt_Geaux_Tigers_196 posted.
Disagree with the following
I have thought for a while that the RB team threads have hurt the SECR. A lot of team discussion in those threads(at least the Bama thread). Info that would normally get posted and discussed on the SECR is now buried in hundreds of pages of recruiting post.

Essentially there are "school forums" on here if you visit the SEC Recruiting Board. Each school has its own ongoing recruiting thread in there, which doubles as a school thread.
That hasn't diminished the Rant in my opinion.

You know...I've heard that black lobsters are much bigger.
While that may be the case, it was the White Lobster, Bryant Barr, who led Davidson College to the Elite 8.

I agree with that. If you go with team specific forums, you have them include recruiting for that school. You may do one thread that's stickied and lists commits, but you also start new threads for important new recruiting information.

Still though, rumor is that black lobsters are huge. Asian lobsters on the other hand...

It is very well put together, agree 100%

Agree to disagree then. I just think this already exists, and would offer nothing to the uniqueness of SR. Not specific to UA...any SEC club.

I wouldn't think you'd be required to click on it.

Haven't been here long enough to know but I see what you are saying. A RB post is quickly met with 'wrong board'. No doubt the minutiae of recruiting news would overwhelm this specific forum. But big news should be allowed, say DGB to Mizzou, Gunner to ND, Collins to UA instead of LSU, etc. I suppose the difficulty would be what constitutes 'big' news, and what doesn't, though I think most have an idea of the difference.

Love the idea can't wait to see it in the works.. Keep the good work..

Each SEC school will have a team page. The team page will contain a list of topics from the SECrant forums about that school. Lower on the page, there will be useful links, by sport, for that school.
Eventually, the team page could evolve into a separate forum for that school and its fans.
Anyhow, that is all for now...the change could happen quickly and suddenly...when it does, see you on the other side.

We would have to deal with them flaming/douching up the SECr (if it was still there) and other boards, though. Did you see how many ATPB clowns come over from TardSports, WoolyAL, BOL, etc...? I don't think anyone wants to deal with all of those types.
Same goes with guys from ITAT and The Bunker.
We don't need that.

I don't really care if the SEC rant as it is collapses. I don't like it.
But I don't think that would happen. Team-specific forums wouldn't take away from the uniqueness of the SEC rant.
I know there are a lot more posters on the Tiger Rant, obviously, but it doesn't take away from the SEC rant at all. Plenty of LSU fans post there anyway.

That being said, whatever Chicken wants and thinks should be done, he should definitely do it to at least give it a shot. I'm all for having the SECr seperate from Tigerdroppings.
Posted on 6/6/12 at 11:58 am to TTsTowel
That's why there are admins. If there are posters hurting the website, they'll be taken care of. I'm sure there are idiotic LSU fans on the Tiger rant, but they don't seem to take away from the SEC rant.
That's a total non-issue in my opinion.

I will say this. I like the SECr and SECRB the way they are. When breaking news hits, everyone can see it. If everyone had their own board, you'd have to navigate through them all to see breaking news. Some fanbases would never know if, for example, a back-up quarterback for Arky tore an ACL. I just love the way it's set up right now.
