Is it possible to get banned just from posting on the "news" links?

For example, I cannot post a comment on the final AP top 25 article ( LINK), but I don't seem to be banned from posting anywhere else.
I'm also not really sure what I could have done to have lost that posting privilege, so I'm thinking this is a glitch.
