How do you create a custom signature picture?

I've seen several sig pics with people who have their names in their sig pic. I want to customize mine as well, I just need advise on how to do it. Thanks.

You need to use a image editing program like Photoshop. That is what I use for mine.

I'm not as familiar with photoshop, can I use a website to create one like photoshop?

No
You can use MS Paint to do some low level stuff like copying and pasting stuff and adding some pretty plain looking text, but thats about it. Anything special looking and you are going to need something like Photoshop and have a pretty decent knowledge of how it works to get what you want.

Don't listen to these amateurs.
Download GIMP, it's the poor man's photoshop (free).
It may take a little practice but it works just fine.
I made my signature image with it.

Never heard of that one. I've always been able to get a free copy of photoshop from a friend so I never really bothered trying to find free versions.

I use GIMP to make mine. If you want to start doing them Mike check out the stickiedthread on the Fark Board (Teach a Man to Fish) and it's a good jumping off point. Basically I downloaded GIMP and started playing around with it, googled YouTube videos for specific effect tutorials, and asked questions of other farkers.
In the meantime if you want a personalized one I can put something together for you if you like. Plenty of UK pics saved to work with on my comp.

Found a font that looked like the stitching on the flag, hope this suffices. If not I'll give it another crack at it.
