Screw em all... I wasn't invited!

yet RAing is for pussies? The admins have specifically asked to RA threads so that they can remove them. LSU fans clearly do that. So if you don't want to, then you lose all rights to complain. It's really that simple.

Man, your last post came across like you were a victim pre Civil Rights movement..
You started a thread about moderation, so I responded to the topic you presented.

I'm okay with taking the good with the bad.

It's fun to post here while LSU is on tDecline?

Were you trying to simplify domestic violence or make a joke about domestic violence?
And to answer the OP, I post here because it's a tolerable source of SEC opinion

This quote wasn't even about this forum. I was just trying to show that you can think there is room for improvement without feeling the need to leave.
The premise for this thread is extreme. There's always room for improvement.

Mods should know LSU fans are more sensitive than the rest, I guess then - and be a bit more discerning with their decisions to whack threads or ban people.

after re-reading the OP, I'll go with both

I think people just want fairness is all. We shouldn't get banned for mentioning the aesthetic qualities of Les Miles' wife in a thread devoted to Coaches' wives, while there is simultaneously a 26 page thread on how trashy Kristen Saban's wedding is.
If the site is allowed to devolve into a complete cesspool that caters exclusively to the lowest common denominator a lot of people myself included would be turned off sufficient to pursue greener digital pastures.
I'm all for requiring at least some small modicum of class, and for moderator intervention when the flaming reaches the point at which it is entirely tasteless and devoid of any semblance of decency.
I've said before I think wife threads should be off limits period. I think bonfire-based attacks should be off limits. I think Katrina-based insults are beneath contempt.
I would like to think that most of us as majority college educated adults would agree these and other minimal standards of decency should be adhered to and are in the best interests of the board/community.
We all enjoy a little good natured ribbing, but a lot of us (myself and I presume cas4t and others) would realistically go elsewhere if the site made no attempt to mandate at least some standard of decency, prohibiting the most egregious of behaviors and suspending/banning those who choose to engage therein.

RAing can and does create improvement. Someone starts a flaming thread, you RA it, it gets deleted=improvement

I'll need some examples of threads being whacked or folks being banned where it was LSU fans being too sensitive.

I don't think this line of thinking is correct, but I agree with the rest of your post.

That's the thing, those flaming threads don't bother me. They're even fun at times. That's why I don't RA them. I don't see deleting more threads as a forum improvement. I see less moderation as a forum improvement, and there's no RA function to promote less moderation.

I don't have any specific examples. I was operating under the premise that you presented that the idea of "LSU moderator bias" comes from the fact that LSU fans just use the RA function more than other fanbases.

The second part of that is LSU fans being too sensitive. I think the daily Chavis thread by LSU fans should put that debate to rest. As far as evidence, I don't really know. I haven't seen it on here but on the Tiger Rant or LSU Recruiting board, anything other than an LSU circle jerk, especially by other fans, does result in bans.

So basically you just think we should just let this mother fricker burn to the ground
got it
I think there are 10X more LSU fans on this site. I think LSU gets flamed/trolled more than other schools on this site. And I think more LSU fans RA because of both of these things.
got it

This isn't a perfect solution either. A lot of the people who do RA overdo it big time. Many of the better posters here have been suspended in the past few months because some butthurt, RA-happy weiner got his feelings hurt and RA'd because they don't like the poster. The mods have issued suspensions because they get sick and tired of seeing certain people RA'd regardless of whether or not the suspendee legitimately did anything to justify the suspension.
It (RAing) has its place, but if we all start doing it every time someone we don't like posts it is inevitable that the board quality will decrease as solid posters are removed from the ranks.

Same could be said for daily Chavis threads/posts from Aggy.

Surely you understand why this is so.

Are you an alter or something? You seem to have quite a bit of insight on the mods line of thinking for someone to have been posting here for a few months.
