Afternoon/Lunch IM Thread on SECrOT

Genro has tried to start a new lunch thread as we have pretty much everyday since the OTB opened and it keeps getting the axe. The reasoning we're getting is the Afternoon thread already exists. It's yesterday's thread and we'd like to start a new one.
Can we get some Admin clarification on this? Merry Flipmas and TIA.
