Will be suspended for up to a year pending appeal for taking Ligandrol. Supposedly you can purchase over the counter and online but is banned by NCAA and NFL. McElwain said it was an honest mistake that could've been prevented if he cleared it with the medical staff. Grier was very emotional during his press conference.

yeah, pretty weak thing to get suspended over, but it is what it is. it's a little better than taking creatine for growth purposes but does have some great recovery apects.

it's not like treon is chopped liver. theres a reason both were co starters at the beginning of the season. i guess we'll have treon back next year, just glad grier is a year behind him.

You can bet the NCAA will wait prior to the start of next season before making a ruling on the appeal.

And they will deny it. Grier is pretty much tricked.

Good thing UF has Treon, or LSU fans would lose it after Clarebelle ripped them up. At least Treon is a human being and not a 10 pound dog.

we had Kolton Houston who sat out his calendar year and a few years after as well, because the shite stayed in his system and he couldn't get a positive drug screen

Per the NCAA they have clarified the rule Will does not lose a year of eligibility.

exactly. he obviously loses the one he isn't playing in, but that's redundant. he'll back up treon as a rshirt soph next year. treon will be a jr.

Heard some good news on the appeal front from a friend. Ligandrol was not the drug taken. There is talk it was a pre workout or mass builder. Which had no labeling stating a banned substance was in it. Also there is a chance to get a false positive for an intake of a large amount of caffeine which a pre workout has. Might not get him back this year but may get it down to just the remainder of this year.

Here is link about caffeine

Caffeine is a banned substance? That's the stupidest thing I have ever heard.
