Toney and Davis are going to have really good years. I have no idea what the defense is going to look like yet, but Slaton looked damn near unstoppable.

Don't forget CJ Henderson and Marco Wilson who may be shut down corners for us THIS year and then next year gone early to the pros.
I think Jerimiah Moon will be noticed a lot...he was injured some last year and now a r/s soph who might be a great defensive player at LB/DE.

Malik Davis would be the easy answer if he was healthy this year.
I think Toney is the easy answer in his absence.

Toney was my vote, really want to see him break out this year.

Not listed, but if Heggie can come back and take over as starting Center, it would be a massive improvement.
Jordan, McCoy, doesn't matter. Subpar athletically, subpar communication. We need a fricking anchor on the interior.

Slaton is going to kill it at NT
Marco Wilson is going to continue to be a great DB. Him and CJ are studs.

You win by scoring points.

Type of offenses teams that have beaten Alabama recently have run and points scored:
Auburn (Spread) 26
Clemson (Spread) 35
Ole Miss (Spread) 43
Ohio State (Spread) 42
Auburn (Spread) 34
Oklahoma (Spread) 45
Texas A&M (Spread) 29
LSU (???) 9
You have to go back 7 years to find a single loss by Saban at Alabama that wasn't in double digits. Defense is nice, but what's really needed is a high flying offense to be combined with the defense.

Ok, look at the last ten years in the SEC and give me the ranking of each SEC champion in rushing defense and overall defense.

Why don’t you do the work and tell us offense too.

You win by scoring more points than the other team!

The point isn't that you don't need defense, it's that you can't just have defense. It's not sustainable. McElwain set the defensive yardage record at UF against North Texas (32 total yards) -- but if you don't actually get first downs, you can't get even the best defenses to rest.
Championships are won by balanced teams, those that can get first downs and points and those who can stop the others from doing so. If it were just defense, Muschamp would still be our coach.
