BTW UFMatt also was predicting last preseason that Del Rio would start and based that on experience. Unfortunately, Franks was put in an impossible position by Nuss and Mac.

I think you hold Franks to blame for our 2017 season and that isn't fair. There were enough blame sandwiches to feed an army. If you look at some of post game statements, you will see I was angry over the boneheaded plays Frank made. In fact, quite vocally.

We could argue over and over again on this subject and it would serve no purpose...season is too close to starting. In 4 Saturdays we kick off.

Pass Power: A+
Pass Accuracy: C
Motion: B+
Footwork: F
Vision: F
Pocket Presence: F
Pocket Awareness: F
Defense Awareness: F
Pass Protection: F

Which do you disagree with?

I don't blame him for last year: I blame him for not seeming to be hungry enough. If I had a year like he had, I wouldn't be talking about Tom fricking Brady and my Fortnite skill.

Kid does not want to play QB at the next level, and we shouldn't start anyone who doesn't have that vision in mind.

Franks wasn't ready to play last year, had Del Rio stayed healthy maybe he would have had a chance to learn and get ready. Fast forward to present, I'm still not sure Franks is ready or will ever be ready, but if he starts opening day it will be because he is the best we have, in the coaches opinion. We will need to support that decision until it is proven to be wrong. My fingers are crossed on the QB situation because I believe with steady, not even great, QB play, this team can exceed expectations. Go Gators.

if someone can pull a decent chris relf imitation, we'll win 9 games.

You don't have to have an elite QB to win NCs...its been done many times by teams that had a stout defense, a top running game and won the special teams play.

You do need a caretaker who will not lose games for you. The team that runs for most yardage will win most of the time.

Mullen knows that and he will pound the ball more than we have seen in a while. Our team has more talent than most realize. We have a lot of juniors on defense and upperclassmen on defense bodes well.

Hevesy knows the offense well enough to teach the OL how they fit in the offense and what techniques to use on a certain play. He is able to explain why they use a certain technique and how to counter what the DL is doing.

I spoke with a former walkon OL under Mac. He said "we finally have OL coach in sync with the offense."
