For some reason I think Foley gave Muschamp 2 years to turn it around and this really isn't his do or die season its actually 2015.
Muschamp needs 8 wins or a 7 with a win over Georgia to come back. He has to produce this year, and losing the Idaho game is bad for him, because that means he'll need to beat Bama or LSU.
Which if he does, he'll stay no matter what.

Had this discussion with a friend today:
Whats more important to this offense to you Straws?
Driskel finally connecting on some deep passes to loosen the secondary up or him actually keeping the read option and breaking off some big gains to make life harder for the linebackers and defensive ends.

Consistency. Deep balls at best are 50/50 and while they look cool -- they're too few. Driskel was off target by maybe a foot on all of his passes (except one) in the deep ball, I think those'll come in time but I think right now we need to worry about movin' the sticks.
I would like to see the read option because it really, really makes the entire defense question what's coming. Once we get plays to get 4 - 6 yards every down, then we can worry about tossin' it as far as we can.
We're not Oregon yet, but I wouldn't mind having that offense -- especially in conjunction with our defense.

Yep, hell just taking the deep shot makes the secondary play off if you come close to completing it.

I am starting to believe we really are holding this back, to surprise Bama with it. I am not a fan of that myself. I am more in the camp of "run the whole offense and even throw in some BS plays to give em more to think about". But if it works Ill give credit to the coaches.

I am more of a Baylor offensive fan but I will settle for Oregon's offense.

Just rewatched the plays that UK burned us on.
Seriously, other than the blown coverage for the TD, UK's QB and WRs played out of their minds on Saturday.
I don't think our secondary was that bad...

UK played a really good game, and UF had a mediocre first half on offense that allowed them to hang in.
Then UF had two key mistakes in the secondary.
Sometimes that's all it takes to lose a ball game, even to a team that is supposed to be inferior.

I remember when we played Bama back in the Tebow days when they beat us in the SEC CG. They couldn't do anything wrong. If they needed an inch, they got it. If they needed a third down and long conversion, they got it.
I felt the same way playing Kentucky with some of those passes on the sidelines that were circus grabs that just seemed to never stop.

Some of it were perfect passes, but those two blown plays were pretty damn bad and some of the catches were due to slow reaction from safety play.
The majority of problems came from running an all-out blitz when it wasn't needed and having 1 on 1 n a quarterback who seems to specialize in underthrowing the ball on purpose.
We need to make some serious adjustments on defense and like I said earlier: Rely on our front four who are just fine at getting pressure on the quarterback with no help.
