Oh those dawgs, the thing that I hate is what they did in WW2 when UF had most of their football team enlisted in the service and ready to fight for their country. UGA kept almost all their best players hidden in the ROTC program. And they beat us in 1942 75-0 when we had scrubs playing against them.

Finchy...obviously I wasn't around in WW2, why don't you know something about UF football history you frick. Ever read books? Naw, I guess not.

Steve Spurrier was told about UGA and what they did to us by older Gators when he first arrived at UF...NOW you KNOW WHY he hated Jawja.

What he's talking about deserves to be remembered, though, in a long history of this rivalry -- the reason they're up 7 games is because Florida literally was recovering from most of its team fighting in the war while their pussy players got draft deferments.
quote:

Having lost most upper-class players to service in World War II, the 1942 Florida Gators brought an inexperienced 3–4 squad into Jacksonville for the 1942 contest with Georgia. The Bulldogs, on the other hand, still had many veteran players thanks to the draft deferments of the players who were enrolled in the University of Georgia's ROTC program, and brought a 7–0 record and No. 1 ranking to Jacksonville.

The Bulldogs finished the regular season 10–1, won the Southeastern Conference championship, defeated the UCLA Bruins 9–0 in the Rose Bowl, and were named national champions by multiple polls and ratings services. Meanwhile, the depleted Gators did not win another game during the 1942 season, and with even more players joining the war effort afterward, would not field a team at all in 1943.

In fact, we didn't recover until 1949, and having not fielded a team in 1943 that accounts for 7 of Georgia's win, and they lead the series 51 - 43.

Imagine if they hadn't been giant, sopping wet pussies what would have happened in that decade, don't tell reel to get over it. We have vengeance on the mind......

For the 1942 Gators.

Remember when they beat that Florida Ag College team in 1905 in Macon and counted that as their first game against us before the legislature even established us as a school? Why, Dan Magill even said we were run out of Lake City and had to move to Gainesville!

butt sniffing, ball licking, leg humping, ankle biting, mutts. LSU ended their playoff hopes saturday and we will end their SEC championship hopes in two weeks.

Well Finchy I hate the dawgs. It might have been WW2 but I think what they did was so fricking classless. A lot of UF guys lost their damn lives so that pussy Jawja football players could beat other teams with a load of talent.

I DARE Porter to come on this fricking board and deny any of my assertions regarding WW2. He wont. Spurrier hated them for this. Steve was a frosh in 1963 only 18 yrs removed from end of the war, and when he was told by older Gators what they did to us....beating scrubs 75-0 he had a red hot hate for them. He damn sure got revenge on them.

Still kicking!

I hate UG from the 1970s and 1980s when they used to come to Jax and act like they owned the place. Trashy, loud mouth fans barking at everybody, stinking up the bars. Then came Steve Spurrier!
