I was venturing onto some of the UCF forums to see where their thoughts are on Frost and our current situation and I came across this...

Any of you locals shed some light on this?

UCF is now a destination school for In State Students and Gators & Noles do not like this. I've noticed that they don't spend as much energy to go out of their way to put down USF, they feel more threatened by UCF. If you look up the numbers there is 1 University that has students turning down UF & FSU in increasing numbers and it's for UCF...not USF or FAU

A lot of my friends from HS ended up in Gainesville and hated it, or tolerated it, for that reason. Most went as legacy admissions because a parent or sibling, or both, went there. All cleared out of the area as soon as possible after graduating, transferring, or dropping out. Not everyone is cut out to be a jort-wearing Alachua county resident and the stink doesn't come off easily.

I also heard UF is trying to resurrect their offense by erecting a statue of Tebow with his arms raised like Jesus at their endzone. Instead of calling it touchdown Jesus they will call it touchdown Tebow.
Any of you locals shed some light on this?

I debated someone last night about Frost, because I was saying basically: Barring something crazy happening, he should come to Florida.
It's kind of hilarious because UCF fans feel like their school is a better destination for players and coaches alike, and he was saying that Frost has everything at UCF that he has at Florida...except for the talent, ease of recruiting, money, facilities and overall resources.
He said that, not me. He said he won't leave for Florida because he has an undefeated season at UCF and he wasn't going to risk it, and of course I said: You'd be surprised what a man will risk for a 2.3/2.7 Million dollar raise annually plus bonuses.
As for the lawsuit: Man, these guys are giving a bunch of SEC fanbases a run for their money on being utterly delusional.

His argument is that people leave a small town like Gainesville when they graduate so that they can find jobs?

Sounds like a guy that's just jealous of UF and mad that we or someone else is gonna take their coach, imo

I always love all the conspiracy theories on why who gets in gets in. I meet lots of legacy students who wanted to go to UF, had good grades and test scores, and didn't get in nonetheless.

UCF fans are fricking dumb. UF is the flag ship institution in the state of Florida. They are turning Florida residents away in the fricking 10's of thousands who want to come to school here.
There are some people that say they choose UCF, but many of those didn't even bother applying to fricking Florida. There is a group of people in south Florida that don't feel comfortable this far north, and UCF is about as north as they are willing to go.
But for the most part, the best students in the state of Florida go to Florida. Period, end of story on the academic side.

If Florida offers him a job, he will take it 100%. There is no way he can turn down immediate money, easier recruiting (way fricking easier) and better overall resources at a premier school in Florida.

It’s an interesting situation with the UCF AD being Mike White’s brother.

UCF & USF are nothing more than basic commuter schools. USF especially...where they had a hard time getting some of their shite accredited. If you have a damn pulse you can get in USF and probably UCF from some of the dumb frickers I've met. In particular one UCF grad married my ex g/fs daughter and he is dumber than a box of rocks. There was no way he could get in at UF...his wife did though and I took her fishing before she married him....I did mention ex g/f didn't I?
Had buddy I grew up with graduate from USF and he couldn't spell C.A.T.
