Turnovers and Penalties

Is it me or is this the most undisciplined football team in college football. This Vandy game was a repeat of the Miami game earlier in the season. What a way to celebrate homecoming. Good to know we are still better than Kentucky though.

I just wanna know that other teams never hold on kick returns or passing plays...I saw Dante Fowler grabbed around the neck and pulled down because he was going to make a sac...wtf?
The worse were special teams..we forced short punt and had the ball around the Vandy 48-49 yd line in 2nd qt...oh wait....flag for offside...they still have to punt since it was 4th and a carbide, so they gain 5 yds and rekick, we return punt close to midfield..oh wait...flag again...10 yds from spot of foul for holding from a sharp eyed ref...so where do we start out? How about the 15 yd line...Geez Louise.

Had to start new reply for turnovers...Publix doesn't have that many in their bakery.
Murphy showed WHY we are struggling on offense, it aint playcalling ...its execution. He is not accurate enough or able to read the field enough to play SEC ball. Again...not his fault that he was pressed into service...but Boom and Pease did not take a hammer to Driskels leg as far as I know either.
The blocking scheme left Mack Brown one on one several times with a big DE for some reason and the results weren't good. On the wounded duck pass by Murphy, he got hit by that DE just as he threw long pass...which a mistake anyway...Brown had release his block and was 5-6 yds downfield wideopen in the middle. Another play when when wew failed to score a TD deep in their territory, Murphy missed a wide open # 87 Westbrook in end zone. Another pick was the pass to Burton behind him that caused deflection into Dores hands.
We outgained Vandy by almost 2 to 1 on offense. It was one of those games and UF is snakebit.

Part 3 ...needed to finish train of thought and my dinner...lol.
The real mistakes I saw on playcalling were the option at the 1 yd line ( our OL is so bad now we cant block to gain that 1 yd?) and Murphy made it even worse when surrounded and making ill advised pitch to Taylor who thank God was close sideline and it bounced...Murhy should have tuck in and been stopped for a 2 yd loss at the 3 yard line, but the reckless play caused 4 additional yds lost and we settle for FG. Murphy ISNT a spread or option qb.,.,.get that out of your heads. He did well when stationary and throwing up the middle which was open all day.
2) time management was issue this was early in the 3rd qt. when Murphy ran play clock down inside 9 seconds almost every snap when clock was running and on some plays the play clock was at 3 seconds. You snap the ball with 12-15 seconds left, over the course of the 3rd and 4th qt it would have saved valuable time. I agree with everything you said Reel Gator8.
We are not making positive progression. We keep falling flat and getting those dang personal foul/ unsportsmanlike penalties. Those piss me off to no end. That is all about discipline and crap like that is normally a direct result of the attitude or discipline the coach has.

We have been heavily penalized since the Spurrier days. Never going to change.

To add to the penalty complaints...the Univ of New Jawsey @ Coral Gables was heavily flagged back its heydays,,,the girls school ditto back in the early 90s...it just seems like Florida schools have a little more swagger and other teams get into it with us and vice versa.
