I’ve seen some Gators sickened by the presence of a UGA fam on this board, but I’m fine with the conversation. It’s not that deep. On to my thoughts on the game:

I like our OL against what I’ve seen from yalls DL.

I *think* I like yalls OL against our DL, simply because of what they’re good at. Our linebackers need to have good gap control and make tackles. Stop yalls run and our DL has the advantage when y’all are in passing downs.

I think Franks is good enough (and Mullen is good enough schematically) to beat y’all if you sell out to stop the run. If y’all are forced to respect the pass I like our ability to run the ball on you. If y’all get down early I’m not sure how your youthful team will react.

I have a good feeling about this game. Feels similar to how I felt going into LSU. I said 20-17 gators going into that game, and I think I’m feeling 27-20 gators in this one. I think we will score some points, because I like Mullen to scheme y’all up and manufacture some points on the bye week. I think we force y’all to have to throw enough that your run game isn’t as effective as it could potentially be. It’s obviously a toss up, but I really like the dynamic coming off a bye week that Florida has improved every week, whereas Georgia has seemed to be stuck in the mud from week to week. It should be a great time and a great game. I can’t wait.

Interested to see what y’all think

That's indigestion finchy, stay away from Mexican food bus. I feel pretty darn good about the game and felt that way since spring...same as LSU which I tried telling you knuckleheads we would win long before the game...we got revenge for the 1 point loss last year.

We fixing to get revenge for last years embarrassment to UGA also.

I think the keys are the snaps that Franks has had with a new staff that have helped him settle down in the pocket. The OL has improved...especially late in games when the opponent is "soften" up. WR play is much much better than last year. TE Moral Stephens is a weapon and its a shame that he is a senior and was never used much for the last three yrs.

We have the ability to score some points and move chains to keep defense rested. Special teams has been very good and could be the determining factor of why we win. Its easy to over the special teams...but its crucial to play sound football. Passing wont win the game...its the run and we might have to pass to back off the defense at first...but we have to slug it out. Mullen has made the offense fun again with a variation of plays, wildcat, the pass backward to Toney to throw downfield, toss sweeps, fake punts, jump passes, misdirections etc etc. DCs on the other side have to be wide awake.

All we need is a few plays that are explosive and the dull (not to me) handoffs to move chains and get UGA behind the score. Defense will hold their own. I am curious to see if Slaton-Conliffe play in this game, it would hurt us depth wise if they don't. Injuries and suspensions are like CIA secrets anymore.

Hope you’re wrong man. It’s an interesting combination where you know they have the horses but they haven’t been performing, and we know we have the coaching that’s improving the team week by week.

I like our staff off a bye week and I like Mullen over Kirby on the field. It’s a matter of protecting the ball and playing our game. We can’t go out there and turn it over 3 times and win.

That is why you need to sacrifice Peter to the football gods for the rest of the week.

I feel like Franks is due a bad a game and this could be it. I hope I’m wrong.

It feels like we have such a small margin for error that even one turnover could be the difference in this game. I know we came back against Vandy but UGA ain’t Vandy.

I do think Fromm has probably lost some confidence so hopefully he doesn’t play perfect and the turnovers equalize.

I don't believe a word out of Kirby's mouth right now.

Cleveland broke a fibula and wasn't exepcted back until maybe Auburn at the earliest, if then.

I think you can safely say cleveland is out this one.

Franks isn't "due for a bad game" wtf. If you know anything about college football....the run game makes passing much easier....if we are constantly in third down and long all day then yeah, Franks and most QBs are going to have bad days cause the defense knows we have to pass.

On the contrary, if we are able to run well then Franks could lite them up. I prefer to be optimistic and our offense has shown it can move chains in a lot of different ways.

This is probably the best breakdown I've seen for the game. It's from GatorCountry so you may have already read it.

Here's the tl'dr version.

quote:

-Georgia is far more explosive on offense than is Florida.
-Georgia’s defense is better at preventing explosive plays than is Florida’s.
-Both teams are similar when it comes to offensive efficiency.
-Florida’s defense has been lock down in the fourth quarter.
-Florida has enjoyed better starting field position than has Georgia. (“In a game with 25 possessions, that implies Florida would end up with 75 yards’ worth of field position advantage.”)
Florida has a turnover advantage.

Gator Country

My personal thoughts? Two things, whoever is forcing 3rd and long the most and whoever gets the lead early is probably going to win this game. It should be a great one. UGA is a little banged up in the trenches which probably favors UF there.
