via reddit: Another insider on GC reiterated the fact that we haven't pushed any assistant coaches on CK and that we talked to Kelly today about potential assistant coaches. Still very confident we'll get him

The Gainesville Sun story was walked back.
UCLA Insiders said they moved on from Chip Kelly Monday (per multiple sources), today they said ink was dry.
They said Kelly's agents met with UCLA yesterday, today they said that UCLA's agents didn't meet him in UCLA. (Third edit: They said they met in NH today in spite of no flights going from LA to NH).
THEN we had our strongest evidence: They had an article saying that Chip Kelly had chosen UCLA over Florida, then deleted it and had their writer draw up a major apology.
Seriously, there has not been a serious, consistent source about UCLA the last three days.
They have misprinted, misspoken and deleted from:
The National Level (ESPN, SBNation), the Regional Level (Tracy Pierson) and the Insider Level (Their paid boards).
It's not a coincidence that our insiders specifically stated that there would be false reports about UCLA over and over again and they've been carried out.

At this point idc who it is. Bring the new HC out monday so we can get the staff in place to secure our recruiting class and start preparing for next season.
I like Chip, but he's not worth this shite we re going through to get him. I'd gladly take Frost, Morris, Norvell or Kiffin TODAY just to get the spot filled and move on.
I hope it is him, many things point to it being him but if he cant make it known by this weekend fk him.

I find it highly strange that they vetted and drew up a contract that Chip Kelly accepted in less than two days.
Especially since they say that he wouldn't talk to them while Mora was their coach.

I won't cry a whole lot in my Wild Turkey if Chip actually takes UCLA over us. I wanted him here, but if he'd rather go piddle around as the little sister in a town that doesn't care that much about college football to begin with, have fun. I'll look forward to seeing Snoop Dogg reinvent himself as a UCLA fan in the 30 for 30.

-CBS reported that Chip Kelly agreed to a non-binding agreement with us, but he wanted to hear UCLA's pitch
-It's believed by some at this point (by onlygators.com) that Kelly is playing the game, using UCLA as leverage to drive a harder bargain with UF (some have said this has to do with disputes over assistants, others have said he and his agent are just trying to get more money)
-UCLA "insiders" reported that Kelly had chosen UCLA, but this was disputed by a CBS report and it was later deleted from 24/7 because the author was worried that people had misinterpreted his headline of "Kelly to UCLA" as Kelly was going to be UCLA's football coach
-The plan, for UF, has always been to announce it's HBC after the season concluded. So there is no reason to worry about Kelly's timeline or us "waiting too long" to lock him down.

If Kelly agreed to the contract he wouldn't need to decide. The non binding agreement sounds like BS.
