Stricklin looked tired, but he was in great spirits. He wouldn't be like that if the deal soured and he had to figure out how he was going to break it to Florida fans.
Still, waiting for dry ink. I remain optimistic, but not losing my mind yet.

Ole Miss has the whole week off for Thanksgiving. I plan on sitting up way too late tonight drinking and watching The Punisher and rolling out of bed tomorrow super late, just in time to catch a presser announcing him.

My friend took this video of @ScottStricklin talking to Buddy Martin at Ocala Airport. They said he was smiling ear to ear after getting off the airplane. Everyone at airport got strong sense it's done deal to bring in Kelly as next @GatorsFB HBC. Fuchs was there too

I will say this: No one believed him when he broke the story early that the Gators were sending up a crew for him to sign a contract.
It'd be strange for him to be right on them flying up there when NO ONE else was reporting it, only for him to be wrong about the signing. He was also at the airport, which makes me raise my eyebrows as well.
I still feel uneasy, because I just want them to announce it -- but like I said:
A guy reports Chip Kelly has signed a contract six hours before anyone knows anything outside of Tyler Fawbush.
Who said that Kelly had signed and agreed around 8 hours beforehand.
It's a little too much coincidence to just be smoke, and I definitely feel like the UCLA opening made the UAA jump to sign Kelly and give in to his demands to avoid a bidding war.
Only time will tell.

Looks like UCLA firing Mora lit a fire under their arse. Hopefully, it isn’t too late. Stricklin is going to have a real mess on his hands if any one but Chip is hired at this point. A Frost hiring might be enough to quell the fires but if it isn’t one of those two guys, it could get ugly.
