I would keep my focus on that group if I was you all.

I'll really be focused if it's Kelly or Frost

If Kelly comes to Florida, it's game over.

I could see him doing it because I think he wants to coach in the NFL again, and building a solid foundation at a premier school like Florida might be just the place to do it.

Honestly, i think hes done in the NFL. The rosters and millionaire entitlement keep his scheme from being what its built to be.

The sooner he embraces what he’s meant to be ala Saban, the better off he’ll be.

I personally think he is, but I also think he wants another bite at the apple. I think he could make comparable money at Florida and before Reel says it:

He hates recruiting because he's from fricking Oregon.

This calls back to Nebraska vs. Florida, too.

Can you imagine talking to some kid:

Hey, come out to Eugene/Lincoln, it's got a great college atmosphere! In comparison to fricking USC, UCLA, CAL, Wshington (surprisingly better than one might think), STANFORD HOLY frick.

Do you have any idea how hard it would be to recruit at a school like Oregon? What draw do you have? Same with Nebraska. I guess at Nebraska you have history, but what kid wants to be a ''Cornhusker''? A Duck?

Chip will be a good fit at Florida because he can pull local talent easily, and his only competition will be Miami at this point (but they'll come back down to Earth in a few weeks).

Frost Q&A

One of the things that drew me to the job is I knew I could run a version of our offense that was practically identical to Oregon's because we can recruit that type of player here. I don't think you could run Oregon's offense at Wisconsin; I don't know if you would get enough guys that can run well enough to do it. In Orlando, Florida, there's fast guys in high schools in every direction in close proximity that are already running systems in high school that are similar to this and should want to play in it."

Says himself he couldnt run his offense at Wisconsin, Nebraska is the same imo. We’ll see

That's also one of the reasons I feel like we can keep Frost in Florida. Recruiting at Nebraska has to be fricking awful.

Again, who wants to be a Cornhusker and go out to Lincoln where there's absolutely nothing? Including Frost, he went out of state and only returned when the team didn't play him at the position he wanted to play out at Stanford.

It'd be easier on his life and wife if he stayed in Florida.

I said on the coaching changes board and ill say it here. Ill be jaw on the floor shocked if he chooses Nebraska over UF.

Better recruiting, better things to do with family -Disney, hello..- better chance to compete for a NC.
Go home to Neb and sure, you can have your family and mentor in the stands watching you get your arse whipped

More

Q: You mentioned some things, like the size and the chance to win. What were some things that over time you had decided you had to see in a program to want to be its head coach?
A: Winning is the biggest thing. I'm taking nothing away from any coaches out there, it's not an accident that coaches at Alabama, Ohio State, Florida and USC, those type of programs win. Not to say they're not great coaches, but those places are built to attract better players than most or all of the people they play, year in, year out. Not that it's a given that you're going to win at those places, but it's easier. It's easier to win at Alabama than it is at Iowa State."

Goddamn, if we score Frost we'll be right back on track in one year. Back to competing for the SEC by year two, easy.

If he chooses Nebraska over us, though, I'd be more than just a little depressed.

Whats gonna be really sad is watching a new scheme alone put our offense in the top 30 with the same personnel

But we know it's going to happen. We know that we have the most offensive talent we've had since 2009. Easily. Even with the injuries we were doing decent, not downright awful until the last few weeks when McElwain mailed it in.

We know that the next coach is going to come in motivated and is probably going to end up giving a good ol' Earthquake to the SEC.

I'm guessing it's Gruden, I can't see Chip going to Tennessee -- his anti-recruiting angle would be there right now. They recruit decently, but it's a lot of jostling with other SEC schools.
