Take it for what it's worth but I have a friend that played for NB and he said that Frost has been back to Lincoln SEVERAL times in the last few months.

I just don't see why he would take a major hit to recruiting -- having to travel to different states every day when he has the ease of Florida recruiting. Leave in the morning, back for supper. It might be good for a vacation or two, but recruiting at Nebraska THESE days is a chore.

That's one of the only reasons I could see Kelly/Frost coming to Florida.

That alumni pull is a very strong aura for guys. I could see him going to Nebraska.

He went to Stanford before going to Nebraska, I guess I could see him going to UCF before Nebraska. I just think it'd be a waste of his time and effort to root his family up and leave for a harder job (Nebraska is way harder than Florida).

I like our chances IF he is Scott’s first call. We really have no idea who he’s looking at. The lack of experience as a HC may make Scott look for someone else.

We’ll see

Because he didn't get what he wanted from another school. I understand it's a nostalgia pull, but I've seen him put another school in front of his own. Again, I'm just hoping his wife hates his in-laws.

We got the jump.

We'll know by December 4th is what Stricklin said, right?

When the clock hits 00:00 on his last season game, the phone will be ringing.

I was hoping the Nebraska HC would finish out the season strong so that it would make it very difficult to fire their HC, but alas, doesn't appear that it's going to happen.

I look at it the this way, if he wants to go to Nebraska its better he go sooner than later. Id rather him pass on us and go now than come here for 1-2 years and leave when the HC finally got fired.

If he comes to Florida he will stay at Florida. I guarantee that their contract doesn't let him back out without losing significant money.

hhhmmmmm Maybe we are more careful with ANY HC hire...if we demand a big money clause for leaving us...what the hell do you expect the buyout will be if we Fire him down the road. I'm sure his agent will rake us over hot coals including Trace.

I have the perfect hire in mind that will fit the budget and draw Gator fans together like we haven't had for many years Straws, simply hire Steve Spurrier. And no he isn't too old...look at other examples of successful HCs who came back to lead their programs with gray hair. Spurrier I believe is only 2-3 yrs older than me...and he is in much better shape than me (too much damn partying). He can hire the right staff and get a Ron Zook type asst coach to help him recruit.

I know one damn thing...with our resources...we wont be sub 100s in offensive ranking again....that's for damn sure. He did USC a favor by quitting when he did and saved them salary...it was much harder to get recruits at SC. Who the hell else knows the facilities inside/out? He wouldn't do it for money. He and Jeri donated 50,000 to the womens sports programs every year.

I'm fricking tired of outsiders....Spurrier bleeds O&B.

i haven't really considered HBC because he's retired, but he would easily be my favorite choice.

I would love for Spurrier to coach again, but he looks happier than a clam retired.

Why would he be going back to Lincoln several times during the season unless he absolutely loves it there??? What coach would go the night before a huge game? That tells me that he loves the school. I don't think we can compete with that.

IF Stricklin asks Spurrier to return...he would. The more I think about it...the more sense it makes...he has coaching in his blood and bleeds O&B. He would instantly bring Gators together. Think about it...it makes perfect sense.

He is a HOF coach and no one would question his decisions or face ridicule beyond belief.

Whos with me? Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Lets fight damn it AND get someone who isn't a damn outsider.

Stricklin should lay down the law...any media questioning age should be thrown out of the presser and not allowed back for 2 weeks. frick them. Age is just a number my friends.

Even SOS said limited capacity when asked if he would like to coach again. I just dont think its an option.

If Frost has to go home then oh well. Go all in on Chip. Back up the truck.
