The only possible positive to take from the Grier Suspension/Treon Playing

Treon has experience on the road in big time environments. Grier has never played in a game like this in a stadium like Death valley as the visitor. Treon played and played pretty decent last year at Tennessee and at FSU, two huge rivalries and good environments.
I know neither of those really compare to Tiger Stadium, but that experience could be calming and help him not be rattled two much by the environment and circumstances.
And thats about all I got for positives.

Good point, we all need to rally around Treon and hope that he doesn't cost us a game. He just needs to manage the offense, which is better than last year and capable of scoring and taking the pressure off the defense. The defense will win games if he can do this. go Gators.
I have not lowered my expectations for the season and don't think that we will lose any more games than we would have with Will at QB.

Absolutely.
9-3 is the worst possible scenerio, which is still better than most expected this year. i still think we beat either LSU or UGA. If the suspension had to happen, this is a perfect time for it to happen. Get Treon the full week of practice heading into LSU then a bye week to prepare for UGA

UGA is not a good team without Chubb. Their QB sucks. Their defense still has the same weakness as last year. Run right at Floyd.
Mac and Nuss will have game plans that feature Treon's strengths and limit his weaknesses. As good as Will been not turning over the ball, Treon had few TOs when they had similar playing time.

If we can survive this week vs LSU, we have the ability to 8-0 in SEC play, regardless of who is at QB...what a glorious shite-storm that would cause

I trust that Mac and Nuss will have him ready to go for the LSU game. They have showed they are excellent at putting together a great gameplan for big games. We will see Treon play well on Saturday, I'm very confident in that. I'm not sure that it will translate to a Gator victory, but it'll still be a competitive game nonetheless.

Seriously,
We were not expected to beat LSU with or without Grier.
I still think we can but it will be tough.
We should beat UG with or without Grier, if Harris manages the offense and doesn't put the D in bad situations.
We should beat, USC, Vandy, and FAU regardless of the QB play
We are going to dominate FSucks with defense and this game is winnable again if the offense is functional.
The SECCG will be the first game that our prospects for winning could be affected by the loss of Grier.
Go Gators.

Having LSU this week is good because UGA and FSU are worse versions of LSU. LSU has a great OL, UGA and FSU not so much.

Grier's had 6 good quarters really. That isn't to say he doesn't look to be the future, but it is to say we've gotten to where we are with only six really great quarters in conference play.
I prefer Grier to Treon, but Treon doesn't have to be a world beater, and I think the above illustrates it. In my thoroughly uneducated opinion, TH needs to:
1. Protect the ball.
2. Finish drives that get in the red zone.
3. When the D gives them a short field/turnover, make sure to get some points out of it.
4. In general, have enough offense that the whole game isn't on the defense. Give them some time to catch their breath.
Do that, and we can still compete with a lot of teams. Mac and Nuss should be able to scheme that, and Treon is a good player. That isn't a tall order with just competent QB play. I have faith it isn't all over now. Mac said he could win with his dog at QB; I think we can all agree he's got much better than that in TH. Now's Mac's chance to back that up.

He currently has 4 INT's...all last season (2 vs FSU)

His elusiveness is a plus in short-yardage situations. Won't be surprised to see him tuck and run a few times.

Our receivers/ TE's will help out with this one this season

^Good point all.
I certainly get the initial disappointment because I felt it too, but Treon still gives us a chance to win. Grier still gets to practice, and I think he will be eligible from game 1 next year by the time this shakes out.
The sky isn't falling just yet. Hell, Treon already QB'd one victory against UGA.

I'm excited to see if Treon can prove the haters wrong.

I would think that the positive for Harris as the starting QB would be having a better run game. If we run more read option and maybe some hurry up to surprise teams then I think the offense could be fine. But if they just plug Harris into the offense and don't change anything we are in trouble .
