I have admitted this many times that he wasn't my choice and Im sure glad I was wrong. I've been on the Mullen train since watching video clips of him arriving at UF day 1 from disembarking the plane to walking around the admin building and the enthusiasm he had...then a follow up video of Macs arrival and looking like he was waiting on a cab. Just a complete contrast.

Sorry reel, you're not allowed to be on the train. Only people who supported him beforehand are allowed to be on it. You'll have to walk through the snow from now on because of your negative takes making this board a worse place. Now mush.

It's almost like a double standard if you ask me.

Not only did reel rag him about his looks, to add insult to injury, he also brought up his record -- as if statistics were relevant to a game like football! The fool.

Crazy how a hunchback with bad a record is now a "guy we should all trust without question".

I'm surprised I didn't say anything more stupid here. I think the only question mark left is the recruiting.

I've been very fascinated with the way Mullen has conducted himself. He has a very different personality with Florida than he had at Mississippi State in some ways. I'm beginning to think he is much smarter than I gave him credit for about knowing the kind of personality that needs to lead a particular kind of program. Of course he is also 10 years older and wiser than he was when he started there.

He's definitely a great coach so far, and I am starting to believe that the rumors about his losing attention going down the stretch is really more a question of his being at Mississippi State.

When I saw this thread pop back up though, I thought to myself, "Oh great." He honestly did rub me the wrong way at times when he was at State, but I'm starting to think now that he was over the top because he knew that fanbase needed confidence. At least my posts aged better than some others here, haha.

You're allowed to have doubts, I don't believe in ragging people over who they support and don't support -- and I don't think anyone loves Florida any less if they don't support the guys I support.

What I really fricking hate is this "holier than thou" guys who pretend like if you don't support the guy they support you're not a Gator fan.

We all had doubts about Mullen at some point, shite, there are still some things that I'm worried about (they are lessening every single week), but I guess it's just a matter of some people learning that you can have doubts and still be a fan.

That's it from my perspective.

I would say you've been close to spot on with Mullen & Stricklin. I wish I would have come over here sooner to check these threads out.

He's a good coach and will win at UF. His first year at State we should have been a 7 win team. Had LSU against the ropes in the final seconds and had some bad calls go against us against a Case Keenum led Houston team that year. We even went toe-to-toe with Florida for 3qtrs. He has a knack for 1st possession series and how important it is to get points on first drives.

He had a knack for finding good DC's except for one, and he convinced our AD to spend the money to get a Grantham.
Mullen likes a DC who lives or dies by the blitz.

When he hired Sexton as his agent, I knew then it was only a matter of time before he left State. I believe that was about the same time as Stricklin left for UF.

I can only think of two instances where this happened. 2014 because of rumors about UF, Miami jobs, which he admitted he interviewed with Miami, and 2017 where he was checked out for sure. fading down the stretch is because typically our last 3 games are Bama, Ark, ole miss. Bama and a rivalry game.

Mullen said Moral Stephens was "underdeveloped" and benched the same as he did when he arrived. "I said, 'It's just not right.' ... It's a tragedy we don't have him for longer. He might have a future beyond this year."

Damnit
Last staff should be pistol whipped

Ive seen players tweet how they wished they had one more year with Mullen. Damn shame

Dan Mullen on Lucas krull: "He's like Liam Nissan in Taken. He's got a special set of skills that makes him really dangerous to defenses."

Mullen on Twitter: "If you like being told how great you are, keep winning." Notes there's about 6 inches difference between a pat on the back and a kick in the arse. #Gators

Mullen on a roll lol

Sorry reel but you're not even a real Gator fan. How can you talk about our coach like this before he even coached a single game? Turn in your Gator regalia and go root for Florida State, this board isn't for people who insult our coach on his looks and try to justify their position with facts and stats.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
