Can anyone explain to me what this guy has done to continue with his role as AD? Our big2 programs currently STINK!

Congrats on the new facilities but a new perspective is desperately needed.

My biggest problem is when we hired Mike White. He inherited a good group of guy and a very good team.

he left Florida in a terrible situation the team he left for Golden had 0 chance of making the tournament this year.

I'm not the biggest fan of The Golden hire but he is here so we have to give him time to see if he can get it going. Golden wanted the job and wants to be here.

If by the end of year 3 he has not sniffed the tournament then I think it will be time to move on. But at this point and time. He unfortunately other then Castleton doesn't have much to work with he needs to hit the portal hard and try to sign 3 to 4 guys.

I can't say that I am either.

It's a similar situation to Napier (though I mostly liked that hire), both coaches came into a bad situation.

They are young, and mostly unproven. They could figure it out. Odds are not very high many times.

If they work out, they'll look like genius hires.

If not, Scott Stricklin needs to get canned.

All I can say in Stricklin's defense is he seems to engage the boosters well, and has done a lot of good work with the football facilities.

I know he was in a bad spot with Kelly going to UCLA and Frost to Nebraska, but I really started to doubt him when he hired Dan Mullen.

I still have a hard time trusting his instincts with hiring coaches after that one.

And his decisions to keep extending Mike White despite sub-par performances also did not help my perception of Stricklin's personnel decision making.

The 2 biggest negatives so far for Stricklin are obviously football and basketball coaching decisions but the jury is still out on both of the new coaches. Stricklin has done well in other areas for the program.

I will hold off on calling for his head for a couple more years while we see how Napier and Golden pan out.
