That kind of rhetoric almost makes me feel like they've already got someone, and it's a big someone. Stricklin has made me very happy for the past few weeks -- first having the brass balls to fire McElwain, then the way he's handled this.
Of course, if Norvell is our next HC, I take all that back and we're coming armed with the teeth.

Kelly, Stoops, Mullen are homeruns.
Frost, Campbell are great hires.
Strong, Kiffin, Taggart are good hires.
Norvell is ''decent'' bordering on ''meh''. What does he have different than McElwain? Do you actually think he's going to have immediate success with how difficult his offense is to run?
We need a real hire this time around, and Norvell is not a real hire.

i think strong beats frost this season.

I'm starting to think we have a real shot at Kelly the more time goes on. I'd take Strong, though.

charlie isn't my first choice by any stretch, but i would take him over norvell for sure.

He would fricking smash Florida recruiting and maintain our defense -- or at least get it back to what it was within two years.
He has a dynamic offense that's putting up 500 yards of offense and almost 30 points a game.
Strong could do very well at UF, and I'd be excited if he were named HC.

I think Mac has done so bad that we all we be excited about the next coach unless it’s a coach with a sub 500 record .

In no way is Norvell a home run...he isn't an elite recruiter, no ties to the area, got destroyed vs Frost, and is just holding court to what Fuente built. No. he is the exact opposite of a home run. He is Mac like. 50/50.
Campbell is far bigger a hire as well. His work at Toledo and Iowa State(the Kentucky of the Big 12) is amazing. The Big 12 is the best conference this year, and he is freaking beating top 5 teams...at IOWA STATE!!!!
Taggart is overrated though. Good recruiter but his win loss record is...questionable when seeing how long it took him to figure it out at USF in comparison to Campbell and Frost at their schools, and his lackluster start at Oregon.

USF vs. UCF if the Kelly rumors are unfounded will be big. If Strong beats Frost, it'll really hurt Frost's stock.
