Honestly don't really like it, he played well at times but regressed in his last couple games. I am not sure how many years of eligibility he would have left. If he comes I expect Frank's to transfer IMO. We will see I like the idea for depth but I'm just not really sold.

He's a grad transfer. Eh. How bad are Trask and Franks that we are going after so many transfer QBs? We can't find a legit HS QB to add with Allen? I don't get this plan at all.

I really like this kid coming out of high school.

We thought he was going to sign with us at one point.

Oh god. You've got to be kidding me with this. What kind of message does this send to Trask and Franks? Might as well buy them a ticket out of town.

I'm guessing Franks or Trask will be transferring. Perhaps LDR's injury is worse than originally thought.

Coaches must be anticipating a depletion of the depth chart at QB.

Or maybe...just maybe Franks and Trask love life at the University of Florida? I know I know...too positive for some but I likey

No one knows yet what the future would hold if we got a QB transfer and I do know one thing...Zaire has feet...not that we are going to be a spread...but he could be a compliment to others.

Six QBs for next year, all on scholarship?

Well, hate to break this to you but if the coaches have that many QBs here on scholarship they are going to catch hell. To compare, Bama has 4. So, buckle up buckaroo.

Transfer seems to be a much more likely scenario.

One is going to be r/s jr who's future is probably coaching, the other a senior transfer and one is a true frosh? Sorry to break this to you UF ...but it isnt as dire as you might think. AND if one of the QBs doesnt want to compete? Oh well...but unlikely since both r/s frosh are just that...redshirts and would lose a year..so would be sitting out a year and couldnt play FBS until they are JUNIORS? I dont think so in my optimistic world that I live in.

They can sit out their RS FR years and start as a RS So at a new school. A lot of time between now and September 2017

Wrong TJ...they redshirted and IF they transfer they still have to sit out a year...if they stayed even part of the year of 2017. If they would have transferred earlier in the year...yes....they could play elsewhere as r/s soph but 2017 is over for them now. The redshirt would not extend once used at another school.

Y'all want a career backup that's 6'0 and 230 lb?

I understand wanting depth, but I'll pass.

Unless we land Jarrett Stidham, Franks or Trask need to be the guy next year. We don't know what they are or what they will be, so I'll be supporting both of them and hoping they are ball players for us next year and the subsequent years.

I never said it was dire. I said they would catch hell, and if they carry 6 QBs on scholarship, they will catch hell. And it will come back to hurt them.

There's going to be transfers or maybe they can switch someone like LDR to an academic scholarship.

Six is too many when there are other positions groups that need depth.

You just repeated what I said. If they transfer anytime between now and the start of the 2017 season. They will sit and start at their new place as a RS-So. I don't get why Mac keeps going after terrible transfer QBs who have zero business playing the position here.

Mac's transfer QBs:

Grady- QB/WR at VU; barely used WR here
LDR- walk on at Bama; backup at OSU. Garbage
Appleby-starter/backup @ Purdue. He looks the SAME here as he did here.

I am not implying that Zaire is a possible QB transfer who would start....but he might be someone who can compliment our pro attack with run skills on certain downs. What little I saw of him at Goober Dame was not impressive...but who knows what can happen in a new environment?

At least we trying to kick start an offense that people are so upset with. Mac is damned if he does and damned if he doesnt.

Myself, I think Franks holds the key to unlocking the woes of the offense. He is 6'6" and no he is not that mobile. He has been honing his skills and being taught the nuances of being a SEC QB. Will he succeed? No one but the coaches really know much at this point...Trask could be the guy and even Jake Del Rio could emerge as a solid QB?

Obviously if the offense doesnt improve...the fanbase is not going to be thrilled. We need to kick Meatchickens azz from the getgo...UK at Lexvegas worries me more than a lot of teams on our schedule since it is on the road against what should be an improved team.

Tired of getting transfers. Mac needs to find a young QB and develop him.
