No, reel_gator8 is not my alter, but man we think alike on most Gator issues.

Noone wanted LDR last yr, now they do????
Its time for Franks to lead this team wherever its going to go. He shouldnt have a short leash imo, he needs to grow as a Qb and Im willing to go through the growing pains this year while we load up for the future. We have a young defense and are young pretty much across the board, this team isnt winning the East this year so we may as well let them learn together.

You know what? Grier was a redshirt freshman. And that was macs first year. That means he was under roper first. Grier had less experience of the mcelwain playbook than franks and led us to 6-0. The sky is the limit with franks if we could see what he could do. Your freshman QB hate is outstanding.

I agree with Finch on this one. We might have needed a miracle comeback with Grier, but at least didn't get took like we had with 5th year senior Appleby.
His mistakes I can forgive, and I guess what makes me the most angry is how quick they gave up on Franks. Both sides have an argument.

What happens when LDR leads us to 1-4 or 1-5? We aren't beating anyone decent with LDR at QB.

7-5 or 8-4 is the ceiling. 4-7 or 5-6 is my guess. This team has zero direction, leadership or coaching to develop these guys with a tougher schedule and a less talented roster. We're in for looonnnnggg year.

Let Franks let it rip and take the handcuffs off of him. Let him get quality experience and show him that you have confidence in him.
