I had season tickets in the south end zone from, if memory serves me right, 1982 - 1996. Great memories of some great Gator wins from Section 57 Row 62. Raised 2 sons as Gator fans from those seats. Hot as hell on a sunny noon kickoff.
The expansion was known as part of the "House that Pell built" due to increased attendance since his arrival at UF.
The south end zone expansion put us on par with other big-time programs in attendance.

I have another one, in 1984 when the Gators beat the mutts, we stormed the field in Jax, tore down the goal posts, broke off the uprights and as I was leaving the stadium, I saw the base of one leaving on a pickup truck. One of the uprights ended up in the river, not sure about the other one.
