concerned about Avery helm.
every time I saw him on tv the receiver had him beat

but then you got Marshall making penalties and miscommunicated as well...

not sure what to do there

Helm was basically useless. I’d start Marshall just because the ceiling is probably higher but it’s a position that is going to probably be a mess all season.

Marshall is a true freshman in his first game. Those issues can be cleaned up.

Getting burnt by FAU WRs is a bigger issue to me.

I just realized we’re playing USF and not at home. Pretty cool.

Depth is thin at that position, no great choice.

If you think Avery helm got burned by FAU.

Wait till next week and see how bad our secondary looks against Bama.

I dont see much improvement on the defense will see going forward but there was no excuse to give up 14 to that putrid FAU Offense

Emory still looks a bit off. Am I wrong?

I was going to defend Emory's play today a bit until that interception. Starter or not he's had plenty of time to learn not to make that kind of throw.

His patience and touch do look a lot better today.

Also looks like Mullen is throttling AR a bit in the play selection.

And then another. Might get ugly against Bama.

Very disappointed in the play of the defense through 2 games the is the defense better then last year. honestly against the competition they have played they should have much better stats. At times this defense looks uninterested in playing at all. The only person that seems to be ballen every play is Zachary Carter. It's well past time for Grantham to go I don't want to hear ohh we don't want to show Bama to much so just playing vanilla defense till next week. What garbage even if you are holding back something there is enough talent on defense to not have FAU & USF Receivers running wide open repeatedly all game long. Mullen no matter how many games he wins or loses need to really take a step back and overhaul this coaching staff other than Elam I'm not scared of any other corner on this team Avery will get worked over silly by metchie next week or who ever else he lets run by him.
