Here is a position that no one should cast a dark eye on.

Tyrie Cleveland jr 6'2" 205 lbs my favorite wr. Has breakaway strength an speed. Two of his biggest plays were 99 yd bomb against the kittens in 2016 that made those Cajuns in the stands swallow their tongues. The other was the hail mary 67 yder against UT last year. He wasn't thrown the ball much in shallow routes and he has been spending time doing more to make himself a possession receiver.

Trevon Grimes soph 6'4" 200 lbs the Ohio State transfer who was highly rated in high school

Van Jefferson jr 6'2" 195 a transfer from Ole Miss and a proven commodity. The two transfers make our unit one of the very best in the SEC.

Freddie Swain jr 6'0" 195 a wr who didn't have the God given talent that Cleveland had...but also didn't receive the best coaching either. From all reports he has improved his skillset at separation from DBs and it bodes well for us.

Josh Hammond 6'1" jr 190 lbs ditto Swain

Kadarius Toney soph 5'11" 190 an exciting player that probably weighs closer to 180 than 190. Like a race horse with knees and ankles always subject to injury because of his misdirection cuts and weaves...lets hope he can stay healthy and if he does, a 5 yd pass that result in long homeruns to the house.

Dre Massey sr 5'9" 185 lbs. A JUCO player with the news clippings of breakaway speed and moves that haven't quite materialize yet. He was a kick returner last year and should be replaced in that capacity. Hopefully he can break out this year.

Daquon Green soph 6'1" 190 lbs. From Tampa and had teams recruiting him heavy but has yet to really see much action...should be elusive.

Jacob Copeland true frosh 6'0" 185 a highly rated player that had his signing day announcement seen by the whole country due to family issues.

TE C'yontai Lewis r/s sr. 6'4" 235 the returning starter and will have to fight to keep his status.

TE Moral Stephens sr 6'4" 250 played a lot in 2 TE schemes

TE Kemore Gamble r/s frosh 6'3 255 lbs will be in the mix this year

TE Dante Lang true frosh 6'5" 225 lbs

TE Kyle Pitts true frosh 6'6" 235 rated # 5 TE recruit

This group as well as our running backs is deeeeeep. We need a QB to distribute the ball to this talented group.

Challenge accepted.

Cleveland just runs go routes. Grimes never saw the field at OSU. Jefferson was Ole Miss's 4th best WR last year. Toney breaks easily and can not run a crisp route. The rest are worse.

Our TEs suck so bad that the likely starter (Krull) has not played football since HS.

The unfortunate thing about our WR group is that a large group of our receivers (Swain, Hammond, Toney, Massey in particular) have a skill set limited to underneath stuff - they lack the big body to work the sideline or the speed to separate deep. That's fine if your outside #1 is always healthy and 100% engaged (Cleveland 0/2) and your QB/OL can work in concert to get him the ball deep (fricking lol). Without both of those, you get the 2010-2017 Florida Gators who opponents can load the box on and squat on all routes 12 yards and in.

If Grimes can be "that dude" and we get league-average out of the QB and OL, we could see this group thrive. I don't see it right now.

BS&B borrow my glasses to help see better.

Of course Cleveland ran fricking go routes, we faced third and forever usually and our OC and HC called plays that by design called for deep bombs...pretty when completed but low percentage, don't blame that on Cleveland.

According to some of you posters we should cancel the season or better yet, cancel the whole fricking program and play badminton.

Praise the Lord...is there ANYTHING that is GOOD about our football program ? I'll hang up and listen. Its depressing in here.

Anybody have an inside the Gators subscription to see why Copeland wasn’t at practice? Or just heard why he wasn’t?

He was on crutches. Some type of leg injury. Severity unknown.

Mullen is not going to tell anyone.

I heard that it has something to do with his knee but it's not a huge deal. I think it was on Gators Breakdown.
