Not what I wanted to see from Auburn

I was hoping to see them struggle a bit. They did the opposite and hit the ground running.

A lot of mistakes by State too. Not to worried. We will see what we are made of next week. I'll be there trying not to die in the heat.

Auburn coming in red hot should be good for UF.
Mullen will chew them out in practice all week.
The media will jump all over Auburn and everyone will pick them.

Mississippi State really, really sucks.
They also play monumentally worse as the away team. I'm not scared of Auburn because their pass defense is bad. Our defense is not as bad as MSST's.
I think we can keep pace, and if The Swamp is rocking and rolling, keeping it loud, I think we can edge them out.
We've been playing really, really relaxed these last few weeks. Even against Tennessee we seemed to just be seeing what worked and didn't work -- and I've never seen from Florida what I saw against Towson today.
Just sort of meandering, treating it like a scrimmage.

Honestly, Mullen will scheme against this. Throwing to the flats, quick slants, etc. to take our O Line out of it. Worked against LSU last year.
Plus, our defense is better than anything they have faced. Keep pressure on Nix. Force mistakes.
It’ll probably be an ugly game (both teams with less than 25 points) and come down to who had the ball last.
Or we fire on all cylinders and beat them. Who knows.
But on paper we look to be in trouble.

I’m thinking this will be 2006/2007 all over again. I’m hoping it turns out like Grier vs Ole Miss.

Yea worked vs LSU and Miss State. Though I'm sure Auburn will try to press to force Trask over the top at some point as well. I feel confident about this team with Trask. What is that now...84-3 with him in the game now? Bad opponents or not that is impressive.
As for our defense. Tackling has to be better than this week...with Zuniga back him and Greenard containing Nix will be vital.
Their Dline will kill our Oline though. So let's just assume 2 YPC unless we break a few jet sweeps or Pierce can get to the second level.

Either way it’ll be a measure of where we’re at.
Pull an upset, possibly a cfp contender.
Keep it close but lose, not quite a cfp contender, but good building blocks for next year.
Get blown out, then look for a citrus/outback bowl type of year and look forward to next year with our weaker schedule.

Aubbie gets better every week we always seem to struggle through the first half and have a better second half next week the gators need to play a full complete game or it's going to be a long afternoon

Naw man.
Getting them where we want them. It’s obvious sarcasm. Sad you made me have to point that out.
Get them over confident, just to rip their hearts out.

The center of their defense is open every play and I have a lot of faith that our guys are going to get open beneath so we can dink and dunk on them.
If they want to play the box, I take Grimes/Jefferson/Cleveland over whoever they have. I think both teams move the ball at will, but I think we'll cause more turnovers.
Playing at home in front of all of your friends against a completely neutered defense (MSST is sitting like 5 starters on defense or some crazy number, including their two best players).
Whole different ballgame when you can't hear and Grantham is blitzing you more often than he's not and now you have to make these passes against an actual defense.
Mississippi State is just a joke these days.

It seems like Auburn is getting better as the season goes on . We are going to have a better idea about both teams starting QBs after the game . They both will be playing their best defense of the season so far . I hope you Trask fan boys are right about him.

It is true they are getting better. Learning how to use their weapons effectively. This game we have to out coach them to win. That simple. Mullen must be more creative than Gus.

With the offense they’re showing I hope the D has been holding back on our blitz rushing and scheming. Without doubt we have to play sound gap control and mask our blitz package so we can put some heat on them.

We played very, very conservatively. Rewatch the game and you'll see guys sort of pulling up on their tackles, trying not to get injured and the like.
We coasted in this game, and we did in the Tennessee game, too. Both games we sort of looked relaxed -- I really do think we'll see the offense and defense start to wake up but not blowing our wad early.

State sucks, dude. Bigtime
I agree but State is better then any team we have played. We haven’t played a decent team yet .

It’s hard to turn things on as needed so to say. I hope we have been playing vanilla D just so we could stay healthy and not show our hand.
I think we made it through the game pretty healthy. I’m ready for a good week of preparation. I know Mullen will light a fire under their arse, at least he better!!

Straws you say coasted you act like we have actually beat somebody look I am very happy that the Gators are 5-0 BUT and I say but the only teams we have beaten with a winning record are UT Martin & Towson.
